"Cole, are you ready?" I question

"Cole, are you ready?" I question.

I watch as Cole nervously paces back and forth. Don walks next to me and finishes up tightening his gloves.

"Bloody bonkers that one. He hasn't stopped pacing all morning." Don sighs.

"It's his first game, and we are playing Slytherin. Can you blame him?" I counter.

Cole stops pacing and faces us.
"Wow, really helping here!" He complains.

"Cmon mate, we've practiced for this, we are going to kill it!" I yell.

Everyone begins shouting excitedly and I see Cole's expression change from nervous to pumped in seconds. We exit the locker room and the cheering almost bursts my eardrums.

The Gryffindor side is the loudest but we get cheers from Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff as well. I watch the Slytherin team enter the pitch and the cheering isn't half as loud, mostly just Slytherins getting excited and a few Ravenclaws here and there. Being the fair house Hufflepuff claps as well but no where near the amount they had for our team.

If anything this made me more confident but beyond all else it made the Slytherin team angry. The Slytherin team often played dirty, and to be angry on top of that was asking for trouble.

I walk towards the Slytherin team captain and offer my hand to shake. He glares down at it, mounts his broom, and begins flying up. This causes a lot of booing but the Slytherin team doesn't seem to care. As each team mounts their brooms and begins ascending into the air something, or I guess, someone catches my eye.

Calum Nott is playing beater on the Slytherin team.

Why didn't he say anything last night?

I find my spot infront of the Gryffindor hoops. A whistle is blown and the game begins.

The game starts off perfect. Cole shook off his nervs early and is playing exceptionally, not as good as as Wood but still better than we all expected. As I saved the 7th Quaffle that came at our hoops I could sense that the Slytherin team was losing their patience.

The Slytherin chaser purposefully knocks into our Seeker's broom sending him spinning out of control. The boos from the stands loudly fills the pitch, I don't let it distract me from the game though. I continue watching g the chaser and where his eyes are, I see him nod at someone indicating a play. As I follow his eyes I see them meet the Slytherin beaters.

Nothing seems off until I see Calum shake his head no and yell something at another beater. Ignoring him he flies straight for Cole with an evil look in his eye.

"COLE!" I yell, but he can't hear me. He flies right in front of me and I make the split decision that is sure to lose us the game.

I push him out of the way just before the Slytherin beater swings his bat and then everything goes black.
