The days went by slowly. Somehow having Rue around but not on good terms was worse than the years she wasn't around at all. The tension in the friend group could be cut with a dull knife. Whenever Delphi was around Rue would excuse herself, Delphi didn't seem to notice or maybe she didn't care much. Albus and Scorpius seemed to get along with her fine so I didn't see what was so wrong about being her friend.
The day Hogsmeade outings came around and I was eating breakfast with Jasper at the Gryffindor table.
"So it's a date date?" Jasper questions with a chuckle.
"Yeah, a date date, what are we first years? It's a date. What am I gonna start saying I like like her?" I reply laughing.
"Nah it's not that, it's just that I haven't seen you date anyone before." Jasper says while rolling his eyes.
"Speak for yourself." I reply slyly.
"Excuse me, I have a very flourishing love life thank you very much." Jasper scoffs.
I'm not sure if he is joking or not but to be completely honest I hadn't seen Jasper date, let alone talk about any girls. I guess Teddy talked enough for the two of us, we never talked about it much before.
"Oh brother, you lie." Mary giggles as she takes a seat across from us with Victoire.
"Finally Jude, you know how many girls have asked if you were on the market or not during our years here!?!? Now I can finally tell them yes!" Victoire coos while buttering some toast.
"But he is going out with someone?" Jasper questions.
"Yeah, he is dating now, not tied down! That means he is a free man. Everyone thought he was- never mind." Mary says. Jasper and I look between the two of us questioning what she was going to say next but we just end up shrugging it off.
"What are you wearing Judy?" Victoire asks through bites.
I look at her confused and motion down at my jumper. "Uhm this?"
Victoire spits her toast out all over Jasper and Mary pats her back making sure she doesn't choke.
"Merlin no!" Victoire yells
"Vic my Saturday clothes are disastrous! Cleaning charm stat!!!" Jasper scoffs.
"I've gotcha mate!" Calum says while walking towards us. He waves his wand and cleans jaspers clothes with ease.
"Cheers Cal." Jasper thanks while giving Victoire a look that could kill.
It wasn't that I woke up everyday hating Calum, but his two faced attitude triggered me greatly. In public setting he was kind and charming, yet I knew how he was when it was just the two of us.
"Yeah. Thanks Cal." I huff quietly and sarcastically.
"No prob Jude!" Calum happily replies while patting my back harshly.
