"Nice of you to join us, Miss Edwards," Snape said sternly as I walked into class 20 minutes late.
"Sorry Professor," I said, giving him a look as if saying, "you know exactly where I was." Snape was aware of the tasks in which Draco and I were to complete as Snape was too a Death Eater.
He nodded, but his face was still stern. "It's okay. Just don't do it again. Take a seat next to Mr. Longbottom."
I slid into the seat next to a boy who cowered away from me. Poor boy. Probably thinks I'm just like Draco. "Blair. Who might you be?" I asked.
"N-neville Lon-longbottom," he tripped over his name as he spoke. He seemed like a sweet boy.
"Nice to meet you." I wanted to come off nice. I did not want to be known around here for my parents' reputation...even though I was following in their footsteps in a way. But I wanted to be known as Blair Edwards. Not as Julius and Valentina's Daughter. The daughter of the people who work for the Dark Lord.
When class ended, I jumped up and made my way out quickly, but I slammed right into Draco on my way out. "Yes, fiance?"
"Hanging around a Gryffindork, really?" he sneered.
"Gryffindork no. Gryffindor yes," I corrected.
"Stay away from anyone in Gryffindor. I don't want to be known as the guy who married a girl that is friends with Gryffindors."
"Well maybe I don't want to be known as the girl who will be marrying a total douche."
He smirked. "I'm the man in the relationship. You do as I say. From here on out, you do whatever I tell you."
I was shocked. Who did he think I was? His slave? "Listen here...Malfoy. I am not some house elf that you can just boss around, and have to complete whatever chore you're too lazy to do yourself. I'm Blair fucking Edwards, and if you have a problem with marrying me, then take it up with the Dark Lord," I jeered, making sure I put him in his place.
He looked rattled by my statement as he tried to pull together whatever he will say next. "The day we say 'I do' is the day you become Blair Malfoy. When we share the same last name, you'll also be living under my roof because I'm the man of the house. That means you live under my rules."
"Oh Blair! Make me a sandwich! Oh Blair! Come please me! Oh Blair! Do this, do that!" I mocked. "I think not. I'm not an object, and I most definitely am not a little toy that you can use whenever you please. This marriage is for the sake of keeping our families alive, and to keep the Dark Lord happy. Not for you to use me for whatever pleasure you need. The second I get the chance, I will be divorcing you."
I shoved him, and strutted down the hall. I knew he was watching as I sashayed away. The fact that I had to marry him of all people made me sick, but it was fun screwing around with him because his tough front was all an act.

That girl will be the death of me. She was powerful, and after that outburst, I knew very well that she was not going to drop to her knees like the rest of the girls. That just made me want her more. She was not weak. Nothing like Astoria...or Pansy...or Daphne...or the others. She will want me. She will succumb to me if it's the last thing I do.
Blaise walked up behind me and patted me on the shoulder. "Good luck getting anything out of that one."
"She'll give in. They all do. I have a plan."
"If this involves getting with someone else, then I would rethink whatever you were planning."
I ignored what he said as I was watching Astoria walked by. I motioned for her to come over, and he huffed.
