It was an incredible feeling: waking up without the thought of if today could very well possibly be the last I spend with my family.
I rolled over and looked at Draco, who was peacefully sleeping. I rested my head on his chest and listened to his steady breathing while I waited for him to wake up.
A while later, his arms closed around me and he held me close, telling me he had woken up.
"Morning, Draco," I giggled as he attacked my head with kisses.
He landed his final kiss on my lips. It was a slow kiss that both of us took time to savor.
"I love you so much," he said as he rolled over so he hovered above me.
"I love you too."
Draco's lips landed onto mine again and I tangled my hands in his hair while he deepened the kiss. I let his tongue slip into my mouth while I wrapped a leg around his. Then, he began to let his hands wander my body, it was as if he was trying to find a place for them to rest. They went from my hair, to my back, down to my hips, and finally on my back end where he squeezed, drawing a soft cry from me.
However, we pulled apart when the cries of a baby filled the air.
"She always decides that she needs attention at the worst time!" Draco groaned as he flopped back onto the bed.
"Well, she is only a baby after all," I said as I got out of bed. "I'll be right back."
"Don't rush. I need to take a cold shower after that."
Rolling my eyes, I left the room to retrieve our daughter. When I returned. I could hear the shower running so I got into bed and started to feed Cordelia.
When Draco came out with just a towel around his waist, he walked over to where I sat in bed.
"Tease," I mumbled as he bent down to place a kiss on Cordelia's forehead.
"Do you want one too?" he asked.
"Duh."
Smirking, he leaned in and kissed me softly, and somehow made chills run down my spine.
"I love you," he murmured as he ran a hand through my hair. "I love you so much."
I found myself smiling up at him like a dork. It was like I was falling in love with him all over again. I have no clue how he manages to have such an effect on me.
"Go change!" I cried as I finally pulled myself out of transe.
"Do you need a cold shower too?" he joked as he pretended to drop the towel.
"Screw off!"

That weekend, I sat in the kitchen, reading. Draco came in and sat down next to me.
"Get dressed."
"Why?" I asked as I folded the corner of the page in my book.
"I figured you, me, and Cordi could spend some time together," he said.
"Well in that case, I'll be ready soon."
So, a while later, Draco drove us to a beach that was about an hour away from the manor. He got the door for me and held Cordelia in the other arm.
"It's gorgeous," I commented as I kicked off my heels and followed him onto the sand.
With the flick of his wand, a blanket, baby toys, picnic basket, and chairs appeared before us.
We took our seats in the chairs and he set Cordi on the blanket in front of us, except she seemed more interested in the sand rather than the toys.
He poured us drinks and then settled into his chair while the sun began to fall into the ocean.
As it slowly got darker and darker, my attention was grabbed by the word, "mama" being spoken.
Draco and I both looked at each other before turning our attention to Cordelia. Her arms were in the air and she was bouncing up and down from where she sat.
"Mama," she said, trying to make a grab for me.
I felt my heart melt as I picked her up from where she sat and cradled her.
"Mama is here," I said with a smile as I kissed the top of her head.
I glanced at Draco who was smiling at us both. He reached over to cup my face, and he drew my face close to his so he could kiss me gently.
"This moment could not get anymore perfect," I said with a big grin as I relaxed back into my chair.
"That's debatable," said Draco as he stood up and held his hand out so he could help me up.
"What's that supposed to mean? Do you have a firework show planned or something?"
"No," he said flatly as he led me to the shoreline. The cold water lapped against our bare feet.
However, I was completely caught off guard when he took my wedding ring off my finger. Then, he removed his ring, and before I could react, he chucked them into the ocean.
"Draco! What the hell!?" I cried.
I went to run towards the area where I threw them, but he held me back.
"Blair Edwards. . ."
I raised an eyebrow at him. Did he just divorce me?
"Before you freak out, I have a good reasoning for throwing the rings away."
"Enlighten me," I responded dryly.
"It's crazy to think how we fell in love so quickly considering our situation. It is something I would have never expected," he said, "We began our relationship in total hatred. We got married while we hated each other, and we went through so many negative experiences while we hated each other."
"Yeah, but that still doesn't justify you throwing the rings into the fucking ocean!"
He rolled his eyes and took my hand. "Blair, that is not how I want to define our first few months together. So, I want to start over. . . I just want a new life where we can have a normal start."
Confused, I stayed silent so he would continue and hopefully justify himself.
"I love you. I really do. You are everything I could ever ask for and I mean it. Before meeting you, I thought I would live a loveless life, but darling, you refined my expectations. In just a few months, you helped change everything because you gave me something to live for; you completely changed me, and for that, I thank you," he said as he reached into his pocket. "So, as I said, I want to start over. I want us to be in control over our lives because we now have that chance and that starts now. . . I remember hearing you complain about not getting to pick your husband. So, I now give you that chance."
I watched in complete awe as he lowered onto one knee and opened up a ring box with a brand new ring inside. "So, Blair, will you marry me, again?"
My knees went weak and I just barely managed to nod. He slipped the ring onto my finger and wrapped a supportive arm around my waist, and the other beneath Cordi so he was helping hold her up. Then, his soft lips were on top of mine, and he held me close while Cordi cooed happily between us.
