Hi guys! I'm sorry it took me so long to update this chapter as I left you guys on a bit of a cliffhanger! I'm super busy because I have three stories to update, but I'm trying my hardest. Thanks for understanding :)

"You're 10 centimeters dilated, Mrs. Malfoy. You need to start pushing," said the nurse.

You would think I'd be happy, but Draco still isn't here, and I am not giving birth until he gets here.

"No," I said stubbornly.

"Blair, stop it!" my mother jeered.

"I'm not doing it! Draco isn't here!"

"You and the baby could die," Blaise said flatly.

"But Draco!" I whined, on the verge of tears.

"He's right. It's now or never," the nurse said.

"Fine."

Everyone stood up from their chairs to leave, but I grabbed Pansy's hand; there was no way I was doing this alone.

Knowing what I was asking, she took my hand.

"You got this, Blair," Blaise reassured as he followed Narcissa and my mother out the door.

Nurses crowded around the bed and prepped me so I could start pushing.

"Alright, I need you to breathe," said a nurse.

I took a very shaky breath, but it didn't help calm me down one bit.

"B, relax," said Pansy, "Draco will be here soon."

I was about to respond with a not-so nice comment, but a nurse interrupted me. "Mrs. Malfoy, on the count of three, I need you to push," she explained.

"One...two...three."

I squeezed Pansy's hand and pushed as hard as I could.

When I ran out of strength, I flopped back onto the bed, trying to regain my breath.

"That was really good, Mrs. Malfoy. Your baby will be here in no time," said one of the nurses.

"Yeah, well I'd appreciate it if my husband were here in no time, too," I mumbled as a nurse started to count to three.

An hour passed by, but I had felt like I'd been pushing for multiple hours. Draco still hadn't shown up, and I was really starting to worry.

"Alright, one, two, three."

I gathered as much strength as I could, squeezing Pansy's hand tightly, but I only managed a faint push. I flopped back onto the bed, tears filling my eyes and a feeling of dizziness beginning to overcome me.

"I can't do this. I can't," I said tiredly before losing consciousness.

A moment later, my eyes fluttered open. Even more nurses surrounded me, and they all looked concerned. Pansy was gone; she must've been asked to leave.

"Mrs. Malfoy, it's now or never. We may lose the baby if you don't push," said a nurse.

"I can't! Draco's not here!" I complained as tears started to run down my cheeks.

I'm stronger than this, but only with Draco by my side. Besides, I can't let him miss the birth of his child.

"You can. I'm right here," his voice said.

The nurses parted ways, and Draco walked in. A wave of relief washed through me, and my doubt was replaced with confidence. He bent over the side of the bed and planted a kiss on my forehead.
