Hello lovely people!
I know, I know, I'm way off on my posting schedule, but I've been so busy lately. Not to mention the writer's block is intense. Anyways, thank you for being patient and I hope you all enjoy! Big things coming soon;)

———————————-

Under Voldemort's orders, Draco and I will be returning to Hogwarts for our final year, except Cordelia and I will be staying with my parents until winter break so I can care for her without the stress of classes. Voldemort agreed to this so Draco will return home whenever he gets the chance.

"Are you sure you're okay with me returning to school?" he asked as he packed his trunk.

"Obviously I'd rather you be here and not miss Cordi's first few months, but it's what he wants," I said glumly as I rocked Cordi gently.

"I'll return every night I get the chance, and I'll visit every weekend I can," he reassured, kissing the top of my head.

Draco tossed his robes into the trunk which had a head boy pin attached - he didn't want the title, but it was another silly thing that Voldemort had asked of him for who knows why.

"I'm just dreading having to see everyone now that everyone knows about...us," he said, referring to us being Death Eaters.

"I know, but we didn't have a choice. Our friends know we're good people, and that's all that really matters."

"We-" Draco started to stay, but ended up getting cut off by Cordi breaking into a fit of cries.

Draco held his arms out to me, and I passed Cordi over to him. He cradled her gently and began to mumble words to her while bouncing her up and down.

Within seconds, a small smile had spread across my face because her wails soon turned into little babbles.

"I can't believe you were afraid of being a bad dad," I said as Draco kissed her forehead.

"You two make it easy."

I smiled up at him, and placed a hand on the back of his neck, drawing his face towards mine so I could place a gentle kiss on his lips.

"I love you," he said when we pulled away.

"I love you too, Draco," I replied.

We gazed at one another for a moment longer, like we were falling in love all over again, but we were brought from our transe when Cordi began to express her frustration through coos.

"We love you too, baby," I said, chuckling lightly as I took her from Draco.

A little rhythmic knock came from the door, and Draco called for them to enter. Narcissa walked in with a small smile.

"Good morning," she greeted before turning to Cordi. "And hello Cordi May!" she said cheerfully.

Cordi squealed when she saw Narcissa approach, and I handed her over to Narcissa's outstretched arms.

"She loves you so much!" I commented.

"Well I do spoil her quite a bit," she said, a smile on her face. "Lucius didn't want to try for another one. I always wanted a daughter to spoil so Miss May will have to do!" she said, tickling beneath Cordi's chin which caused her to squeal gleefully.

"Gee thanks Mother," Draco mumbled.

Narcissa rolled her eyes. "You know I love you, Draco," she said, kissing his cheek. "You're as much as a mother's boy a mother could really get anyways," she added.
