"Why can't we get dressed together?" Draco whined.

"Because, my dress is a surprise," I responded.

He glared down at me and crossed his arms. "You know I hate surprises!"

I shrugged and gathered up the rest of my makeup. "Shame."

Draco scoffed as I began to leave the room and walk towards my parents room.

"Can we at least have a quickie during the ball?"

"If you promise not to ruin your surprise, then maybe we can fit one in," I responded as I stood on my tippy toes to peck his lips.

"Good," he muttered.

-

"Don't you just look gorgeous!" Narcissa exclaimed as I showed her and my mother my finished look.

I wore my hair in a half-up-half-down which was held together by a silver clip. The clip complimented the dress perfectly.

Cordi squealed from my mother's arms and I walked over to them. Cordi was already in her dress, and she looked absolutely adorable.

"Draco is going to love your dresses!" Narcissa said.

I giggled softly. "He kept whining because I wanted to surprise him."

"He's a spoiled brat, I swear," Narcissa chuckled.

I laughed and nodded. "I do love him, though."

Both of the mother's 'awed' in unison.

"And to think you two absolutely despised one another just about a year ago," Mother commented.

I stood at the foot of the stairs, waiting for Blair to finally reveal her dress to me. After what felt like waiting for way too many minutes, the soft clicking of heels pulled my attention to the top of the main staircase. My heart sped up immediately as Blair walked down the stairs with our daughter in her arms...they both looked absolutely stunning.

Both Blair and Cordi wore silver dresses which matched the small silver detailing I added to my look.

Mother had told me to wear a silver suit, but I thought silver looked ghastly so I stuck with my normal black suit, and wore silver jewelry instead.

When Blair reached the foot of the stairs, I took her hand in mine and kissed the top of it before kissing Cordi's head.

"So?" Blair said.

I looked her up and down and couldn't help but bite my lip. "You look sexy."

Blair punched my arm, and not lightly either.

"Hey!"

"Behave! Our daughter is right here!" she jeered as I held onto my arm.

I rolled my eyes. "I was just telling the truth," I grumbled.

She shook her head but linked her arm with mine and dragged me in the direction of the ballroom.

As we walked, she went on and on about 'rules' for tonight.

"No touching, no looking, no inappropriate language..." she rambled, but I was hardly listening.

"So what you're saying is I can't even go near my wife?"

"You can, if you behave," she purred just as the ballroom doors opened.

"Shit, Blair," I murmured as she giggled at her effect on me.

I could tell my cheeks were bright red and that I looked...excited. However, all eyes were on us so that only made matters worse.

"You'll pay for that, darling," I hissed through gritted teeth.

She looked straight ahead but I could tell she wore a smirk. "I bet your little friend will love that," she responded as she turned to me, glancing downwards.

I rolled my tongue against my cheek and took the opportunity to adjust myself as she was blocking me from the other guests.

"Upstairs in one hour," I whispered in her ear before walking off to where my parents stood with some old family friends.

I could not stop my cheeks from burning red. How does he manage to have such an effect on me?

"Blair!" someone squealed, grabbing my attention.

Pansy was running towards me while Blaise walked calmly behind her.

"Pansy!"

She hugged me tightly. "And hi, Cordi May!" she exclaimed.

I handed Cordi into her open arms just before Blaise pulled me in for a massive hug. "It's been like a month and you two are acting like it's been years," I giggled.

"Exactly. A month is too long," Pansy said.

I laughed. "Well, how have you two been?"

Pansy smiled and leaned up against Blaise. "Good, school has been crazy. You're coming back after the holiday, though, right?"

"I plan on it, yeah."

"Great, because Draco is such a brat. I don't know how you put up with him."

I glanced over at Draco who stood not too far away. He was talking to a group of people, and he flashed me a small smirk when he caught me looking.

"He's hot, though," I murmured.

Blaise rolled his eyes. "You're the only one that thinks that."

Pansy and I met eyes and she gave me a look as if saying 'wellll.' I laughed and replied with the, "your secret is safe with me look.'
