Maggie's Point Of View

I stomped back to my room the Volterra. I could hear Tanya's words echoing in my head. We won't regret anything. We won't regret anything. We won't regret anyth- "STOP!" I shouted - to no one in particular. I just wanted this to stop. My head was pounding as if I had a headache - which isn't possible. "Er... who are you talking to?" Alec popped his head into my room. "No... one?" "Unlikely but sure. By the way, Jane's asking for you." "Yeah right," I responded. I grabbed a rubber ball, started bouncing against the wall, counting each time it hit. Alec ended up dragging me out of the room by the wrist. "Here Jane," Alec shoved me towards his sister. "HEY! I'M NOT A BALL FOR YOU TWO PLAY WITH," I protested loudly. "There you are! Caius wants to talk to you," Jane smirked. I was in trouble, yea yea, I already know. I stalked off towards the throne room, where I was sure they were. Athenodora and Caius were sitting there as I walked in. "Sit down. You already know you're in trouble," Caius ordered. I folded myself down on the clean floor. "Who's the judge and who's the jury?" I asked sarcastically. "I know!" I spoke with a bright tone, sarcastic still, "I'll be the judge and I'll also be the jury! And the judge and jury say, that I'm not in trouble and that I'll be in my room. She also says not to disturb her," I exited the room and skipped brightly into my niche. I picked up my ball and began to continue my ball bouncing and counting. "I thought you were in trouble?" Jane poked her head in. "The judge and jury say I'm not," I said as if to explain.  Demetri walked by and kicked the door all the way open and laughed, "The what and what?" "Judge and jury." He fell to the floor, roaring with laughter as I rolled my eyes. I sighed. "No really though. Why'd you go back to Denali?" I sighed, "I miss Carmen and Eleazer. Tanya and Kate," I whispered. "How'd it go?" Jane asked sympathetically. I didn't expect that from her. I thought she'd be the one threatening me if I left again. "They thought I was trying to... show them up? I guess. I mean, they just thought I had changed into this other person. This person who, no offense, kills people... just to satisfy themself. They didn't want me to be in their coven," I shrugged. "Ouch," Demetri winced. I nodded. Now that it was silent, I could hear the words pounding in my head again. We won't regret anything. We won't regret anything. We won't regre- "ARGH," I screamed, gripping my skull and throwing my head back like an animal, wailing wordlessly. Jane skidded a few steps back in surprise and Demetri turned his head towards her. "I'm not giving her any pain," she hissed. "Then why'd she screaming?" he hissed back. "I have no idea. She's crazy?" I stopped screaming and shook my head wildly. "I'm going to take it that she's crazy." "Yeah..." They glanced at me, "Should we be concerned?" Jane shrugged at Demetri's question. I sighed, "I keep hearing Tanya's last words to me. It's driving me crazy. Every time no one's talking to me, it echoes through my head. Like pounding sort of," I explained bitterly. A silence fell through us and... We won't regret anything. We won't' regret anythi- I screamed for this stupid voice to stop. "We'll help you escap-," Jane started to say but I cut her off, "They won't accept me." "Then what?" "The Cullens might accept me. But it's not guaranteed." "Let's go then!" Demetri pumped his fists in the air. "Woohoo! Let's go!" I rolled my eyes, "You're forgetting some things. Like time... and when we will take off." "Oh, yea. I forgot." I rolled my eyes again. "You guys are really going to help me?" I asked skeptically. "Sure. Why not? Plus, you were sorta taken away as a prisoner and held against your will too. We could all see you didn't want to." I nodded. Was I finally going to escape and see my cousins again? This time, the question in my head is: Would the Cullens accept me, or would they send me back like the Denalis did?
