A shotgun shot echoed across the land
Leaving a smoking shotgun on a fallen log, Izuku stood up from his hiding position, and calmly went to retrieve the wild turkey he just killed.
"This should make... 37" he muttered, taking a photo and tagging it, before grabbing it from it's feet and hauling it on his back, walking back to his hunting position, to retrieve his shotgun
Since each American state has it's own limit of how many turkeys could be hunted he opted to hunt the max quota of different states till he reached 35 turkeys, one for each class of every course, from first to third years.
He was in Pike County, Illinois, in one of the multiple reserves where turkey hunting was allowed, normally the time where firearms were allowed in fall season hunting was October, but thanks to his connections with the government, he was issued a hunting license permit for one week.
After 15 minutes, he walked back to the main house, where the owner of the land resided. After a brief chatter and filling some paper work, he departed in his hovercraft, while also carrying a casket of excellent wine that the owner insisted in gifting him.
Apparently the man, Samuel, was a veteran from the Kaiju Wars, something that surprised, as they weren't many but the few survivors tended to be very secretive. Still, despite being in different roles, with Izuku being a pilot and Samuel an assistant in the LOCCENT Mission Control Room, both in different Shatterdomes, it was still very pleasant to meet a fellow veteran.

Melissa was humming a jolly tune, she was in Lunch Rush kitchen, helping with the preparations for Christmas dinner with Eri, normally Lunch Rush would be there, but the Chef hero was in a tour all around Japan, providing meals for all orphanages, per his custom.
Following her guardian indications, they were baking Christmas Log Cakes, with Izuku having prepared the batter hours prior, all she had to do was pour it over multiple pans, put them inside the massive ovens of the kitchen, and bake them until they sprung.
Once she put them out, she will carefully take the cakes out, roll them and let them cool for half an hour, before once again unrolling them to spread a layer of butter cream and raspberry jam, then rolling them back, and then cover it with a layer of chocolate icing.
With a fork she would produce the bark like texture of a tree, by dragging it though the icing, whule the rest of the decorations she will leave it to Eri, who would then enthusiastically decorate each one in a unique style.
Using a stool, she climbed on it to reach the upper cabinets for more powdered sugar, when one of her feet slip and loose her balance, making her fall.
She closed her eyes and braced for the incoming impact, only to feel herself land on two arms.
She opened her eyes, and found herself in the arms of Izuku, who caught her just in time.
"You okay?" he asked, not noticing how close he held her, nor the close distance their faces were.
Her face reddened like a tomato, and she quickly jumped away from him, trying to hide her blushing face, the young man instead, merely gave her his usual inquisitive look of confusion.
Unfortunately, or fortunately for her at this exact moment, Izuku sometimes can be as dense as osmium... Seriously, can't he even take a hint of all the girls practically had a thing for him for him?! Including her!
