Saturdays, for any standard citizen was a day to look forward to, as for most it was free time for their leisure, however, for UA students it was a different story.

While they didn't have any theoretical lessons, instead they dedicated the entirety of the day to spar, running drills, and training their quirks, thus a usual Saturday in UA, one could hear the sound of metal and metal clashing to a variety of screams that ranged from "C'MON YOU SHIT HEADS! YOU CALL THIS FIGHTING! I WILL SHOW YOU FIGHTING!" to "Stop! Mercy!" which was promptly followed "There is no mercy".

Usually, they were under the supervision of their respective homeroom teachers and Slade, but today for classes 3-A and 3-B they were on their own, except for Vlad King, as the rest of their teachers were absent due to an urgent classified mission per their own words.

The students, despite their inherent curiosity, didn't question the reason, more so because All Might and Nezu were part of the mission, thus ended with Vlad King supervising the students who were training their quirks with the extra help of Kaina, Ectoplasm, and Cementoss while the rest of the students sparred among themselves.

While they usually sparred in a 1 Vs. 1 setting, today they chose to take a copy out of Slade's teaching methods, consisting of putting a student, usually the ones with a high aptitude for combat, and pitching them against two or more students that were elected randomly. In this way, the lone student was pushed to hone his skill to the extreme in such an unfair situation while the rest had to coordinate among themselves to take down a foe more skilled than them.

There was Bakugo and Shoto, each facing most of the students with more support-based quirks in both classes, while Kendo faced those with more aptitude in hand-to-hand combat. Momo and Ibara on the other hand faced each other as they were more versed in the use of combat using weaponry.

"Try Again!" Bakugo yelled as he used his explosion to somersault to evade a grapple from Jurota and then to spin midair and evade a barrage of pop balls and flying horns from Mineta and Pony. Landing on the ground he put his guard up as he blocked a sidekick from Fumikage, who fought alongside Dark Shadow, as the sentient quirk wrapped itself around his body like a living exoskeleton.

"..." Shoto chose to fight silently, raising a small ice pillar to shield himself from a punch of Kyouka, narrowly evading a sonic boom courtesy of the new sound emitter knuckles she was testing, as the ice shattered, he ducked by a hair's breath as a kick reinforced by electricity passed through courtesy of Kaminari and then to roll to one side as Kaibara rotating fist crashed on the spot where he was milliseconds ago.

"Hya!" Kendo parried with her left arm a spear hand from Shinso that would have undoubtedly left her on the ground holding her stomach had it landed, before counterattacking by grabbing the former's wrists and using his momentum to throw him to the ground. However, in an acrobatic manner equal to Aizawa (to this very day nobody could still not believe the DNA test came out negative) Shinso threw a kick aimed to her face, which she barely blocked before being forced to release him as Sato and Kirishima joined forces to attack her.

The sound of wooden swords clashing could be heard as Momo faced Ibara with a focused yet empty look in her eyes, eerily like the one their combat teacher usually sported. While she couldn't certainly match her teacher's skill and experience, through hard work and her newfound talent for sword fighting, the ancient Italian Sword Fighting School which was thought lost finally resurfaced in the Quirk Era.

Following the school doctrine of defense and counterattack, she endlessly parried and deflected the attacks from Ibara, who along her vines, wielded two swords while she made use of a two-handed sword.

Taking into account her vine's long reach and the state of mind "Crusader Mode" as many called it whenever she engaged in combat, made Ibara from a maiden very reliant on her quirk to someone terrifying to face if you entered under the category of what she called a "sinner". Kamakiri and Reiko Yanagi choose not to partake in combat, choosing to hone their quirks and physical attributes like many others.
