Whispers could be heard all around the auditorium, which was already filled to the brim with students from all the three years of all courses available at UA, in addition of nearly all the teachers, with the exception of Lunch Rush.
All conversations came to a halt, when Izuku hopped on the platform in front of them, where a single chair laid in the middle.
Silently, he sat down, and stared at them.
"Many of you are wondering why you are here... Well I will cut down the chase" he softly spoke
"This... is a lesson. A lesson that nobody should ever know, but as heroes in training... I believe this is a mandatory class for all three years..."
A few hushed whispers could be heard
"War" Izuku said in a single sentence
The hushed whispers were transformed in multiple sharp intakes of air.
"During the last months you felt it don't you? Something gigantic is about to happen, at a scale that will affect the entire country, and perhaps, the world. It can certainly be compared to the feeling of a bomb ticking, you don't know where it nor when it will blow up, but you know that the repercussions out of it will be big..."
"First of all, let me clarify something... War, contrary to various video games, or shame on you all, Hollywood movies or government propaganda... Is not something glorious, nor something honourable, you gain nothing less but death and suffering at the expense of both sides"
"War is a bloodbath, carnage, massacre, the ultimate way in which humans solve their conflicts in the most extreme ways."
"And in war, there is only one rule..."
"To kill or be killed"
The auditorum temperature seemed to drop below 10 degrees, as all students remained frozen to their seats as they were subjected to the sheer bloodlust and pure murderous intent from Slade.
It was akin to the first they met him, only this time the sensation was a hundred times worse than before. If the first time the feeling was brief and subtler, this time their combat teacher didn't hold any reservations, for the very aura he was emitting was so heavy and dense many felt they were going to be crushed or suffocated by it.
Ignoring the terrified faces everyone was portraying, Izuku continued
"Have you killed anyone?"
"Have you ever been killed?"
"Have you ever had a limb torn off by an artillery shell?"
"Have you ever smelled the reek of rotten flesh?"
"Have you ever found the crushed bodies of your parents and siblings in a pile of rubble that used to be your home?"
"Have you ever discovered a blown off piece of your friend of lover stuck to a wall?"
"Have you ever find your wife or daughters being raped multiple times before being killed?"
"Have you ever been so hungry that you tried to eat tree bark?"
"Have you ever stewed human flesh in a pot?"
"Have you ever convinced yourself that the enemies were not humans so you could... slaughter them like animals?"
Izuku closed his eyes and turned his switch off, before opening them.
Instantly, the room returned back to it's normal temperature, and the students stopped feeling the oppressive aura, yet the shivering didn't left their bodies.
