Chapter 31: The Festival and Gentle Criminal

 Midoriya was walking in direction to UA, carrying two bags, one holding the items his students needed urgently for the Festival and the other ingredients that were needed to make candied apples.

The last one was per request of Mirio, who was trying to use the Festival to cheer the Eri up, as the girl revealed during a visit, that she was unable to smile or laugh, due to the ambient where she was raised.

Still she revealed she liked apples, and sweet things, which is why he bought ingredients to make candied apple, he could buy them during the Festival of course, but why bother when the person who cook them was his culinary rival? This would be the perfect opportunity to gain the upper hand.

His thoughts were interrupted when he was nearly bumped by two people wearing over-sized trench coats

"Excuse me" he said, not taking his eye off them

"My my... the after taste of this imperial golden tips was almost ruined" the masked man said cheerfully, before he made the attempt to walk off again

"So you two are are the ones planning to mess with UA huh?"

Instantly both people stopped on their tracks

"I wouldn't dream of it young man! I was just getting my tea" the man signaled at the run down shop

"Please, it's Saturday, with no people o this street, and with not many hero agencies nearby? You smell nothing but trouble... Maybe sneak by the forest? And once you reach the top of the hill, you will mask your scent to evade Hound Dog, and once you passed the outer layer of security is passed, I would guess that your little helper will hack in the systems and bought down the sensors and cameras of this area?" Midoriya sarcastically replied

"Gentle what do we do now?" La Brava asked in fright on how the teen discovered their whole plan in the matter of seconds

"La Brava get the camera ready!" Gentle announced, as he took off his disguise, and in the process of doing it, he grabbed La Brava and took the run from it using his quirk.

"Theatrics... I hate those...." Izuku muttered before he left the bags, and using his powerful legs, set pursue on the criminal duo

Gentle, seeing that the teen was approaching them at rapid space, quickly touched the ground with his hand, rendering it elastic with his quirk, and once Izuku step on it, it made him bounce high in the air.

But the teen, instead, was completely unperturbed by this, simply started to propels himself in the air using his legs

"He can kick air!?" he thought with an incredulous face, which La Brava mirrored

As his situations was turning more dire (he never expected to met first one of the people he was trying to avoid the most), he was no fool, he knew that taking on the son of the Drakon would be suicide, even if he was quirkless, he already saw from his fight against All for One what the teenager was capable of.

Gentle tried to use a nearby construction site as distraction, by destabilizing the structure and launching nearby metal beams to the few civilians that were nearby.

His plan was crushed when the boy, who without wasting any breath, wiped out his guns, and with accurate shots, pushed the beams away thanks to the powerful bullets he employed.

Gentle proceeded to create more elastic barriers, which to his astonishment were cut cleanly by Izuku's katana.

"Give up you two! Before I decide to enforce lethal force!" Izuku shouted

Gentle ignored him, and seeing that they were near the forest, once they were in the boundaries of it, gently (pun intended) dropped La Brava, and turned himself in direction of Izuku, with the intent of confronting him.
