Palpable nervousness could be felt from all the heroes and heroes in training, all hidden in the thick forests that surrounded a massive villa, well camouflaged between the mountains that dominated on the outskirts of Jaku city.
The group that was the raid team was composed of numerous heroes and heroes in training from different academies, among them UA Heroic Courses and Shiketsu.
"I am so nervous..." Sero mumbled under his teeth, examining the crowd, seeing for a brief moment a few people wearing the iconic military hats from Shiketsu.
"You are not the only one..." other students mumbled under their breaths
Like many other heroes in training, they were located in the back lines, serving as support in case things turn dire, the U.A group, for example, was under the command and Momo and Tokage.
"I kind of wished that Midoriya sensei was here with us..." Yui Kodai sighted, earning many grunts of agreement from their classmates and surprisingly some heroes as well.
They were willing to bet anything that had Midoriya took part of this raid, it wouldn't last long, heck, even their assistance wouldn't be needed... but unfortunately from what their teachers said, their combat teacher was required in another part of the operation.
"Awwww... you lot look so cute when you are all nervous and jittery..." a familiar female voice interrupted their thoughts
The crowd of heroes in front of them opened up in two crowds to reveal Midnight, but instead of wearing her usual provocative heroine costume, she was wearing what looked like armour? And that hanging on her hip...
That was not her usual whip... instead of one made of leather, this one had a chain with a fourth bladed broad spear on it's end, and the armour, was, well... kind of intimidating, plates after plates were around her body, highlighting her curvaceous body, like a second skin... they could also see holes on some of the plates, probably to facilitate her in expanding her quirk
"Ah... and now you are checking me out huh? So bold... I like it!" the heroine cut their staring, making everyone blush to the root of their hair
"This is just an armour... apparently Midoriya hand crafted it for all of us... he even got all the measurements right... Don't give me that look, who do you think has modified all your costumes?" she teased a bit more, enjoying the multiple looks of envy from her female students
The students now looked to the ground in embarrassment, while subtly rechecking their costumes.
Since that infamous lesson, Midoriya not only took up to teach them about war and how to survive it, but also went the extra length to modify their costumes personally to adapt them from something used in Pro Hero work to something capable of enduring the punishment only a war-zone can provide.
Some students found their costumes were more sturdier and heavier, due to being reinforced with metal plates or aramid fibers, others had theirs completely modified and redesign to something more focused on practical purposes than aesthetics. Like replacing heels with combat boots.
"Seriously?! You want to sprain your ankle in the middle of a battlefield? Might as well fight bare footed for that"
Midnight was about to continue with her teasing when a beep could be heard in everyone's communication devices attached to their ear's.
Immediately all heroes activated it.

Slade elegantly walked through the now desert street that led to one of the main avenues of Painan city. Under normal days, this highway was always crowded with vehicles but today was not the case.
