I do not own song or video.

Screw the twice a week!  I'm going daily again until I run out or until we start book 3.  There's at least going to be 4 of these books, so we're not running out of story yet!

◇◇◇◇◇◇

Varian shut the door, setting his back against it.  He let out a deep breath.  Slowly, he turned his head to look out his window, revealed that the sun was going down.

Here comes a wave
Meant to wash me away
A tide that is taking me under
Swallowing sand
Left with nothing to say
My voice drowned out in the thunder

He walked over to his balcony, opening the doors.

But I won't cry
And I won't start to crumble

Sighing again, he set his hands on the rails, looking out into the courtyard.

Whenever they try
To shut me or cut me down

He watched as the carriage left, taking away the Griffin.

I won't be silenced
You can't keep me quiet

Once the carriage was out of the gates, Fredric, Arian and Rapunzel who had seen him off, turned around.

Won't tremble when you try it
All I know is I won't go speechless

Rapunzel said something to Fredric before making her way into the castle.  Ariana quickly followed after her.

'Cause I'll breathe
When they try to suffocate me

Fredric merely seemed to sigh and look up.  Varian quickly turned and left his balcony, not wanting to make eye contact with him.

Don't you underestimate me
'Cause I know that I won't go speechless

He slammed the balcony french doors shut.

Written in stone
Every rule, every word

Varian pulled the tarp off his alchemy supplies.

Centuries old and unbending
Stay in your place

He picked up a beaker and looked into it.

Better seen and not heard
But now that story is ending

He plucked out a blue strand of hair, putting it in the beaker.

'Cause I
I cannot start to crumble
So come on and try
Try to shut me and cut me down

He pulled out three large books full of legends and alchemy.  Books he was currently forbidden to even glance at.  He set them on his desk, making a thunk sound.

I won't be silenced
You can't keep me quiet

Mixing chemicals together was his next step.

Won't tremble when you try it
All I know is I won't go speechless
Speechless

Slowly, he began to drip the chemical on his hair strand.

Let the storm in
I cannot be broken
No, I won't live unspoken
'Cause I know that I won't go speechless

When nothing happened, he set his supplies down.  He quickly flipped through the pages.  He stopped with a picture of a plant.
