A/N- Before I start, I just want to say that I mean no offence to anyone from Italy. These are just some things that I found out and wanted to share them.
1. Italy has a free wine fountain that flows 24-hours a day with locally grown red wine.
2. All three of Europe's active volcanoes (Etna, Vesuvius and Stromboli) are in Italy.
3. The first modern pizza, with a tomato base, was made in the Campania region of Naples in 1860.
4. Italy has the most UNESCO World Heritage sites in the world. It is home to 55 UNESCO World Heritage sites.
5. Anyone convicted of killing a cat – owned or a stray – could face a €10,000 fine and up to 3 years in prison.
Rome alone is home to around 300,000 cats6. Italians have eaten pasta since the 4th century B.C.
7. One-fifth of Italy is covered in hills and mountains.
8. Tourists throw €3,000 (3,671 USD) into the Trevi fountain every day.
9. Rome is over 2,000 years old – but Italy is one of Europe's youngest countries. The country is only 200 years old.
10. The Italians have over 2,500 types of cheese

I'm going to do a series of 10 countries just like this one. Tell me which country to do next in the comments!
