You: Ready to go in Ry?
Ryker: I don't know...
You: What's going on bubs?
Ryker: I-I want dad here too
You: He'll get here when he can
Ryker: N-no, I-I w-want hi-him n-now
You: Hey, hey, hey take a breath, slow down. I'll call dad, but we need to go in
Ryker: Al-alright
As you walk in, you call Tom
Tom: Everything okay?
You: No, Ryker's freaking out
Tom: What?
You: He just had a complete panic attack because you aren't here
Tom: I'm on my way, give me 10 minutes
You hang up and grab Ryker's hand
Ryker: Is he coming?
You: Yeah, bubs. He'll be here soon
Nurse: Holland
Ryker: But dad's not here
You: It's okay, he'll come back when he gets here
Ryker: ...Alright
Tom gets there and runs back to you and Ryker. Ryker runs up to him the second he walks through the door
Tom: Hey, you're okay, I promise
Ryker: I-I...
You: Bubs, take a breath, you're going to pass out
Dr. Louis: Hey Hollands. Oh, I got this one
You and Tom step away and let Dr. Louis take over
Dr. Louis: Hey bud, my name is Dr. Louis, what's yours?
Ryker: I-I'm Ry-Ryker
Dr. Louis: It's nice to meet you. How old are you?
Ryker: I-I'm 10
Dr. Louis: Okay. Can you tell me what you like?
Ryker: I-I like the beach behind m-my house, t-to watch movies with m-my family, and to play with m-my cousin Liam
Dr. Louis: Now, what about these dreams?
Ryker: There's always a lady chasing mom
Dr. Louis: And what are you doing?
Ryker: It's like my feet are stuck, but so are dads and Haylee's
Dr. Louis: Is the lady saying anything?
Ryker: No, just chasing mom around
Dr. Louis: Well, this isn't unusual at all. When did this start y/n?
You: Right before he and Haylee met my parents
Dr. Louis: Oh, then this really isn't unusual
Ryker: How can I make it stop?
Dr. Louis: You need to stand up to it. You need to show the lady that even if you're stuck, you'll still protect your mom
Ryker: How do I show her?
Dr. Louis: Any way you can. And this isn't going to happen right away, you have to keep trying
Ryker: I'll try
Tom: Thank you so much, Dr. Louis
You: Yeah, thank you
Dr. Louis: It's my job. Have Ryker come back in 2 weeks
Tom: Sounds good. See you soon
Tom puts Ryker on his back, and you all walkout. Tom takes Ryker home while you make his appointment. Tom calls...
Tom: Ryker and I are going to pick up dinner
You: Thanks...
Tom: You okay?
You: Yeah, we'll talk later
Tom: Alright, see you soon
You get home and walk inside
Kristen: Hey
You: Hi
Kristen: How was the doctor?
You: It was fine
Kristen: What's wrong?
You: Nothing, I'm okay, just tired
Kristen: You're not okay, but we'll talk later
Tom walks in with Ryker and dinner
Tom: Dinner's here!
Harrison: Yes! I can't stand listening to the kids anymore
You sit at the table and everyone starts to eat
Kristen: How was school kiddos?
Liam: Boring, we didn't do anything today
Haylee: I wish, we did so much
Mattie: I didn't do a lot, but I did enough
Ryker: It could've been better, it was slow
You: Well, that sounds like school
Harrison: School really beats you up sometimes
Tom: And sometimes it's fun
You: Yeah, school can be very fun
You clean up and the kids went their separate ways
