Ryker: Hey mom

You: Hi

Ryker: Thank you for last night

You: Of course, do you feel better?

Ryker: A little

You: Okay. When you get home later dad and I want to talk with you

Ryker: Am I in trouble?

You: No, bubs, dad and I are just worried

Ryker: Okay

Haylee: Morning family

You: You're turning into your uncles

Haylee: No, I'm not

You: Just wait and you'll see

A few minutes later Sam and Val come down

Sam: Morning family!

You: Told you

Sam: What?

You: Haylee is turning into you and your brothers

Paddy: No, she's a girl she can't be us

You: Wow, you've finally risen from the dead

Paddy: Yeah, I don't sleep much at school

Ryker: That sounds terrible, but I know how ya feel

You: Ry, not now

Ryker: Sorry

You: Okay, I've got drop off duty today. Ready?

They all pile into your car and you drop them off. You get back home and feel something in your stomach

You: TOM!

Tom: What!?

You: It hurts again...

Tom: Where?

You: Stomach

Tom: Okay, let's go. Sam!

Sam: Yeah?

You: Can you get the kids from school if we're not back?

Sam: Absolutely. Are you okay?

You: Don't know

You get back in the car and head to the hospital

Dr. Z: Tom? Y/n?

Tom: Dr. Z. She needs help

Dr. Z: What happened?

You: Don't know, but it hurts

Dr. Z: Stomach?

You: Mhm

Dr. Z: Okay, let's do an x-ray and MRI

You: Can Tom please come?

The desperation that came out in your voice made Dr. Z feel bad for you

Dr. Z: Yes, I'll give him the protection

The nurses bring you a wheelchair and wheel you to the MRI and x-ray. Tom's holding your hand the whole time. They get you into a room, and you're starting to panic

You: Tom

Tom: Yeah?

You: I don't want to go through that again, I don't think I can

Tom: It's okay darling, it's going to be fine

Dr. Z: Okay, so x-rays look normal and the MRI should be in any minute

You: Do you think something is wrong?

Dr. Z: I don't know. The x-ray is for bones, and those look great. The MRI will show the muscles

You can feel the tears forming in your eyes. Then a nurse walks in with the MRI

Tom: Anything?

Dr. Z: I don't see anything wrong with what we did. Let me do an ultrasound

You: Wait, I can't be pregnant

Dr. Z: We use the machine to look for more things than babies, but I will look to rule it out

You: I can't be...

Tom: Hey, it's fine

Dr. Z: Okay, I think I found the problem

You: Am I?

Dr. Z: No, but your kidney seems to be enlarged which I did also see in the MRI

Tom: What does that mean?

Dr. Z: I'll give you an antibiotic to empty it out slowly if there's anything in it, and it will slowly go back to normal. Is it a lot of pain?

You: Not right now, but it was before though

Dr. Z: That's probably because it pushed on the rebuild

You: Ah, makes sense

Dr. Z: I'll send the prescription to your pharmacy and just take them twice a day until there's nothing left. Try to take things slow, you can do everything, just slow. And if there are any more issues, you have my number

You: Okay, thank you so much

You smile and head back home
