A New Chapter Begins...Again

Tom: Hey, you've got to get up

You: What time is it?

Tom: 10:30, your appointment is in 2 hours

You: What about the twins?

Tom: I took care of them this morning, and I dropped them all off

You: Thank you, Tom

Tom: It's what I'm here for, now come on

You get out of bed and head downstairs

Sam: Hey!

You: Hey

Sam: You feel better?

You: I do, I don't feel as tired as I have been

Sam: That's great! Also, is it okay if Val joins us for dinner again?

You: You don't need to ask. As long as she's here, I will make sure she's fed

Sam: Thank you!

You: You just have to tell me you're here...

Sam: I will. Also, here's your breakfast

You: Thank you

You start eating and Tom sits down next to you

Tom: How's the pain?

You: Much better

Tom: That's good, and the movie's almost done too

You: Just filming, then I have to put it all together

Tom: Yeah...but where?

You: New York, so I'm using the apartment

Tom: Are you going by yourself?

You: Yes, you are staying here until the kids finish school for the year

Tom: So, how long are you by yourself?

You: I think it's just shy of 2 weeks

Tom: Alright. Do you want me to take your plate, so you can get ready?

You: Sure, thanks Spidey

Tom takes your plate, and you go to get ready

Tom: You ready to go?

You: Yeah, let's go

Tom drives you back to the hospital, so you can meet with the doctor

Doctor: Hi y/n. Oh and hello Tom

You: Hello

Tom: How are you?

Doctor: Good, and what about you y/n?

You: I'm good...

Doctor: Well, let's take a look and see how you're doing. Is it getting easier to do things?

You: Yes, it is actually

Doctor: That's great. Okay, let's do the MRI first, then while they develop, I'll look at the stitches to see if we can take them out

You follow the doctor down the hall to get your MRI, while Tom stays back

Doctor: Alright, ready?

You: Yeah...

Doctor: Are you okay?

You: I just don't like tight spaces, but I'll be fine

Doctor: Just close your eyes and think of something that makes you happy. This should only take 20-30 minutes

You close your eyes and think back to you and Tom's first date. When he bought you the red dress, and you had a picnic in the park. Then you thought about when he asked you to be his girlfriend, then to be his wife. Now you can't stop thinking about the twins, and how amazing it's been since they were born

Doctor: You're all done! You did great!

You: Thanks

Doctor: Okay, now to check your stitches

You walk back to your room

Tom: Hey, how did it go?

You: Good, now she just has to look at the stitches

You lay down and squeeze Tom's hand

Doctor: This looks great!

You: Can they come out?

Doctor: Yup. I'll be right back

Tom: Told you it would be fine

You: I think I told you that Mr. I worry too much

Tom: Hey! I've got good reasons to worry

You: Okay, fair

Tom: I just don't know what I'd do without you

You pull his face close and give him a kiss

You: I'm not going anywhere, I promise

Doctor: Okay, let's take them out!

You: Finally!

The doctors takes the stitches out and had the MRI, everything looked great

Doctor: Alright, you're good to do everything. Try to ease in slowly, don't push yourself yet. The second you feel any pain, stop and sit down for a little bit

You: Okay, thank you so much
