A New Chapter Begins...Again

You had been on the couch with Ryker for a few hours. He had stopped crying and he finally fell asleep for what you feel is the first time in days

Tom: Do you want me to bring him upstairs?

You: What time is it?

Tom: Almost 8

You: Yeah, let's just put him to bed

Tom: I've got it. You get something to eat

Tom takes Ryker up to bed, and you grab some food from the fridge

Kristen: Hey

You: Oh, hey

Kristen: You okay?

You: I'm in a little bit of pain, but otherwise yeah, I'm okay

Kristen: Why did he do that?

You: Because he didn't know I brought the twins to meet my parents

Kristen: But he had my kids too

You: I know, I'm so sorry

Kristen: It's alright, my kids are tough like you

You: I try to keep everyone safe, so it's good to be tough

Tom: Alright, all kids are down for the night...including Harrison

Harrison: I am not

You: You are a kid at heart though...we all are...

Kristen: They all went down no trouble?

Harrison: Yup

Tom: And Ryker fell asleep on y/n, so he was already asleep

You: I wonder how long he's been awake

Kristen: What?

You: Jacob really scared him

Tom: He hasn't slept because every time he closed his eyes, he saw Jacob

Harrison: That poor kid

You: I just hope these nightmares stop. I feel so bad

Tom: Oh, I forgot to mention. Ryker has a math test tomorrow, and his teacher's really worried

You: I think he should just sleep till he can't

Tom: Glad we're on the same page

You: I'll send an email to Mrs. Smith tomorrow

Ryker: Mom?

You: Hey bubs, you okay?

Ryker: Can I have some water?

You: Of course, you can bubs

You grab a cup and fill it with water. You pick him up and carry him back to bed

Tom: You got it shortie?

You: Yeah, I got it Spidey

You put him on your lap again just rubbing his back

You: You okay bubs?

Ryker: Yeah

You: So, you only wanted water?

Ryker: And you...

You: Well, mom needed dinner, so dad brought you up

Ryker: I know, but I couldn't fall back to sleep

You: It's okay. Just go to sleep now, okay?

Ryker: Okay

He falls asleep again and you tuck him in. You walk to your room and start to go through the work papers again

Tom: You have to stop bringing work home

You: I'm working from home again Spidey

Tom: Oh yeah, I forgot

You: I was doing this, then I fell asleep

Tom: I know. I put the papers there for you

You: Well, thank you, but I have to look through it

Tom: A new script?

You: Yes, but not for you

Tom: What?

You: You, Mr. Thomas Stanley Holland, aren't in this movie, sorry

Tom: Why not?

You: Because you're not. You're doing other movies anyway

Tom: Well, I'll miss you

You: You always miss me. I could be asleep next to you, and you miss me

Tom: What can I say? I love you too much

You: And I love you more

He gives you a hug and you continue to organize your papers, so it all makes sense

Tom: Come on, let's sleep

You: Fine, I'll come sleep with you, so you don't miss me

You snuggle into Tom and almost instantly fall asleep, but wake up when Ryker comes in

Tom: Ryker?

Ryker: Can I sleep here?

Tom: Yeah, come on. Nightmare again?

Ryker: Yeah, then I can't fall asleep

You: It's okay bubs. We're here
