Tom had called his mom and she was bringing the twins to see you

Tom: My mom's bringing the twins

You: I didn't want them involved

Tom: There wasn't much choice, you passed out in the bathroom...

You: But...

Tom: I needed to tell them where we were y/n, I couldn't lie to them

You: What did you tell them?

Tom: That we were here, and that you were going to be okay even though I had no clue what was happening

You: What?

Tom: It took them almost 16 hours for anyone to tell me what was going on

You: I'm sorry

Tom: I'm just confused as to why you didn't tell me how bad this was. I thought we had some time

You: I didn't think that would happen. I didn't want to be a burden, so I just kept it to myself

Tom: You could never be a burden...not to me

Just them the twins come running in, and Nikki just stands in the doorway

The twins: Mom!

Tom: Hey, be careful with your momma

Tom's POV

Nikki: She okay?

Tom: Yeah, but she's derailed for a while...

Nikki: Really?

Tom: Yeah. No work and minimal walking, she won't be happy to hear that

Nikki: Who's going to stay with her?

Tom: I haven't worked any of that out yet honestly. I'm just glad she's awake

Your POV

Haylee: Are you okay mom?

You: Yes, bubba, I'm okay. Are you two okay?

You: Any nightmares?

You smile at your kids and the doctor comes into your room

Doctor: Okay, I've got some info for you

You: Alright

Doctor: We're going to send you home tomorrow, but no work for a while, and very minimal walking. I want you to lay low until your next appointment in a month. There we will re-evaluate how you're doing, and hopefully, we can get you back to normal quickly

You: Me too, but can you go schedule my appointment now, please?
