You: Kids can be mean, but I promise dad and I are going to do everything we can for you

You: What about her?
Ryker: Her friends haven't exactly been friends
You: Well, I'm worried about you right now
Ryker: I can't go back mom
Tears started to fall down his cheeks and you're quick to wipe them away
You: Stop, no more tears. I will take care of this, and you will distract yourself
Ryker: How exactly?
You: You're coming to work with dad and I
Ryker: I'm not 5 anymore
You: I'm trying to be supportive without freaking out. Don't make me get your father. Get dressed
You left Ryker and went to your room
Ryker's POV
Ryker: Dad?
Tom: What's up?
Ryker: I think something's wrong
Tom: What happened?
Ryker: Not me dad...mom
Tom: Where is she?
Ryker: Your room
Tom: Okay. You stay here, I've got mom
Tom started up the stairs Ryker stopped him
Ryker: Dad, I'm scared
Tom: There's nothing to be scared of. Remember to breathe, okay?
Ryker: Will mom be okay?
Tom: Yes, bubs. She will be
Tom wrapped him in a hug then went to you
Your POV
Tom: Shortie?
You: Spidey...
Tom: Come here
You quickly went over to him and buried your face in his chest
Tom: I've got you y/n
You: I can't do this anymore! I can't watch my children suffer! I can't sit back, and hope things get better! I can't Thomas!
Tom: Listen to me, I can't sit back either. We can figure this all out together
You: How!? How will we figure this out!?
Tom: Because we raised them together. We watched them grow up. We became better people, and we did it together, even when we thought we couldn't
You: But this is so much more than that!
Tom: It's just another detour, right?
You didn't know how to respond, so you just laughed
You: I'm surprised you used that correctly
Tom: Look this isn't anything we can't handle, and being freaked out is scaring Ryker
You: W-what?
Tom: They've never seen this side of you. We should go talk to him
You gave Tom another hug and you both headed downstairs. Once Ryker saw you, he ran to you
Ryker: Mom! You're okay
You: I'm okay, Ry. I promise
Ryker: Please don't do that again
You: I wish I could control it bubs
Tom: Are we ready?
You: Yes, Kristen has the other 4
Tom: Let's go then
You get in the car and head to set
Robert: Y/n! Tom!
Tom: We brought you a surprise!
Robert: What is it?
Ryker: Hi Uncle Robert
Robert: My favorite godson!
Robert pulled him into a huge hug
You: Can you—
Robert: He's mine today
Tom: All yours
You: He could use a distraction
Robert ran off with Ryker and you got to work. Every so often you'd look over to Robert and Ryker and just smile
Tom: Your idea might have worked
You: I hope so
Tom: I also got a meeting with the principal Monday
You: Maybe we can finally figure this out
He kissed your head and you two watched Ryker and Robert with smiles
