"Why must you always make it so difficult?"

👑

It was a rainy day.

Dion slowly rose himself out of bed and looked at the digital clock next to his bed frame. 5:00 am as usual.

He dug through his bookshelves for new study material and found everything quickly thanks to the well organized shelves that he himself had made. There was no need to waste time on searching and searching when everything could be organized by subject, timeline, difficulty and writer. If anyone asked Dion which author had wrote which book, he would immediately know all of them. That's just how it is after hours and hours of studying and analyzing fact books.

This morning he settled on chemical history volumes four and five, wanting to read through the last chapters and note down all the important information from the book, almost like reading and highlighting except he would never highlight anything inside a book.

Dion sat down by his desk and opened his book, sighing when he looked outside and noticed that it was still pitch black. The other students wouldn't wake up until two hours later, maybe even three hours. But sometimes it was fun to be awake before the others, being able to be completely alone.

"This chemical wording was first said by R.L Molslon, who in his late thirties experimented with dangerous chemical combinations that would soon become the first push towards the first dictatorship. Many are still unsure if Molslon wanted the chemicals to be used in the revolutionary war against the past government, but to this day school textbooks use him as a staple for the regime."

Dion fiddled with his fingers while he read the passage about Molslon, a chemist who died approximately 30 years ago, right after Derix came into power at the fall of the regime before him. It was true that his father used Molslons chemicals to kill the government and take over, but Dion had never thought about the fact that it might have been used against Molslons will. The more he thought about it, the more of a bad guy his father became. Dion already knew his father wasn't good, but he was always too scared and willing to not think about it. Now Allan and Jake have proposed to him that he should join a rebellion against him...

Yes after many days their words still haven't left Dion alone. No matter how hard he tries, it comes back to him when he sleeps, studies and eats. Suddenly everything he reads about the regime sounds like propaganda, and everything said about the regime of his father inside textbooks suddenly turn evil. He shakes his head and switches books completely. Instead of running away from the truth, why doesn't he want to find out more about it. He stands up and goes to his library again, dragging his fingers past the shelves until he finally finds the section he wants.

"History"

After a short moment of searching, he sees the most recent history book in his shelves. It's a book that he has read a lot of times before, but maybe not in the same way he is going to do now. He has never dared to even think critically about it until now, but he has to try.

"History of the revolutionary war- volume 1"

Dion sat down by his desk again and opened the book, jumping past his fathers history and going straight to the battle part. His eyes were glowing in a weird kind of excitement, he is finally trying something new.

"Derix Elton leads the troops to the capital, with three thousand guns and one hundred barrels of Molslons chemicals with him. His men proudly walked through the city, as the cowardly old government came with their policemen and water-canons. After around three hours the old governments police force in the capital had fallen, and Elton could continue towards the ruling party with his guns and chemical weapons.
