"I won't raise a gay son, you'll just have to fix yourself before taking over the company Aiden. Go to university and fix yourself. We'll send you money, but don't contact us until you are sane again"

Even the heir to a multi million company can suffer more than most. Aiden has never dealt with poverty, and he never had any troubles in his childhood. He was one of the lucky few, born into the elite that stole money from the millions of poor people.

But although his childhood was golden, it all came to an end just around his eighteenth birthday. Because it just so happens, that his love for another man was not allowed. Because he happened to have a preference for men, because he happened to fall in love with a man. Only because of that was he deemed unworthy, and told to fix himself.

And even though that was all in the past now, Aiden just couldn't seem to know how to fix himself. Personally he didn't want to suddenly love women instead of men. Being gay was always apart of him, ever since birth. He just didn't know what to call it before his parents shouted the word for the first time. There should be no difference in your preference for gender, no difference at all. Aiden had always wondered how anyone could be attracted to a gender. Personally he didn't find the words "woman" or "man" very attractive.

And what if you didn't know if a person was a man or a woman, but you were still attracted to them? Would your preference turn once you heard their gender? Aiden never understood that logic, and so it didn't make sense for him to fix himself. He just happened to love someone as a teen, and that person just happened to be a man. But his logic never mattered to his parents, or the general public.

Because he was beaten, and yelled at and hurt just for who he happened to love. Aiden didn't understand it, but he had soon come to realize that his own opinion didn't matter. And now, after two years at his university, he still hadn't come any closer to "fixing himself". No matter how hard he tried, the thought of suddenly not finding men attractive just wasn't possible. He thought he would have to end up marrying some random woman, forced into a sad relationship with three children and a dirty business that stole from the poor with their dumb systems and prices. He was so desperate to run away from it all, that's what he is good at after all.

But then he met Dion. The cold, black haired boy who also got bullied and whispered about. One day Dion just saved him from getting hurt, and Aiden couldn't help but look up to him after that. He was brave, and he wasn't homophobic. In fact, he had a strange hate towards homophobes. He called them uncultured, and "idiots". Sometimes he even went as far as to call them "sheep of an old governmental system that will never succeed in life". Aiden learned a lot from his senior student, his only friend after coming out as gay.

And it took him a long while to get Dion to speak. The cold boy was quiet and disciplined, always focusing on nothing but his studies. He wasn't very big in size, but Dion often had people cowering from him by just one glance. There was this strange pride that he walked around with, but it wasn't the same kind of pride that the spoiled kids had. It was a pride that consisted of his lack of self doubt. He knew himself and was talented in so many ways, and he knew what was actually right or wrong after years of studying almost all subjects.

But most importantly, once Dion became his friend for real, he showed him a bunch of new things that he had never even thought about. The most important one was about himself. Before Aiden had only seen himself as a good runner and the heir to his fathers sports business, but now there was so much more than that. Aiden realized that he liked biology and zoology, and he also realized how much love and respect he really had for sports.
