Josh POV

Colleen and I are busy everyday with both the kids who are now 6,4 and 3 or work. It is getting a little nuts and I think we need a break. I don't take any time for granted since Colleens cancer scare 3 years ago. I feel grateful for everyday no matter how crazy because life has taught me to enjoy every minute because you never know. I see Colleen in the backyard laying in the sun. She usually lays out by the pool in the afternoon after the kids are at school/preschool and she has already taped/edited in the morning. This is her time. She has learned to somewhat take some time for herself, I walk up behind her quietly and reach around from behind her and grab her arms. She screams and I start laughing. "Babe don't do that to me! I nearly peed" she says smiling. I come around and sit on her chair and give her a kiss. "How is the sunshine today?" I ask. "Terrible" she says sarcastically as the day is perfect here in Southern California. "I think we should go away the two of us Colleen, we need a break from kids and work" I suggest. She lifts up her sunglasses and looks at me with her beautiful brown eyes and smiles. "I would love that" as she grabs my face. "Hawaii?" she asks bouncing up and down. "Sure but I want to find a new spot ok?" I tell her. She nods and starts clapping her hands. "I will call Rachel to look after the kids and we will do the same for her and look after Olivia and Kate" I suggest. She nods and I go in to start looking. I find the perfect spot and call Rachel. Its booked and I cannot wait.

Colleen POV

Its the morning that we are leaving and I am soooo excited. Rachel and I went out shopping and she helped me pick out some new clothes and bathing suits. Josh is not telling me where he is taking us in Hawaii. Josh is putting the bags in a taxi which is taking us to the airport. The kids are still sleeping so it was quite quick to get out of the house after saying bye to Rachel and Matt. We sat in the back of the cab and I literally could not wait to get there. To sit on a beach with Josh and relax and look after each other. It was going to be 7 days of bliss.

We get to our gate and Josh buys us Starbucks and we take our seats. We sit on the plane like it was our honeymoon over 7 years ago just as excited. We kiss and just stare at each other. Our spark has never dwindled. He has seen me at my worst and loved me through it all.

We arrive in Hawaii and get our rental car. As we drive over to where Josh booked us we call Rachel to see how the kids are and to say hi to them since we didn't see them this morning. We are feeling guilty but we really need the time alone to recharge. I think every parent does. We pull up in front of a house. A gorgeous house. I smile at Josh as we watches my reaction. We hop out of the car and go into the house to explore. As soon as you enter into the house you can see the ocean with the huge windows. I am in awe. We walk through and the master bedroom also looks onto the ocean and has floor to ceiling glass doors that can totally open up as if there is no barrier between us and the ocean. You can hear the waves crashing. I walk onto the terrace and notice there is a spiral staircase down to a small pool. I look back at Josh. He is just as thrilled. This is going to be wonderful.
