Paradise

Colleen POV

After some time on the beach I decide to go in and make some food. I put together a chicken salad with garlic bread for Josh and I to eat on the deck while watching the sunset. We sat there quietly as we are both starving. I look over at Josh a few minutes later and he is laying back sleeping in the chair. He finished every bite of food. I smile at him. I get up and start bringing our plates in and washing them. I decide a shower would be awesome. So I start it and jump in. My skin is already loving the sun and my pale skin is already glowing. I jump out and throw a pair of capris and sweatshirt on. I am throwing my hair up in a ponytail and go to check on Josh. He isn't in the chair anymore. I turn around quickly looking for him and then I spot him near the pool deck below. He is lighting candles and plugging in his itunes to the portable speaker we always bring with us for vacations. I hear our song and he notices me and smiles. I walk down the stairs and he has champagne on a table for two. I smile at him and start crying. "Babe you always think of everything " I say to him. "I love you Joshua" and I kiss him. He moans into my mouth and breaks the kiss "Why do you think I do it? Because I get rewarded with kisses from you" he says smiling.

Josh POV

I have my gorgeous wife in my arms. Three years ago I wasn't so sure she would still be here. I am so lucky and I thank god everyday. I have some tears in my eyes and try not to show them to her. She turns my head to face her. She has a puzzled look on her face. "I am just happy we are together still and three years ago....." I say before she puts her finger up to my lips to make me stop talking. She shakes her head no. "We don't need to discuss that anymore babe. Paige saved me and you were the one that gave me her" she says. "So thank you Joshua" she adds. I grab the two glasses of champagne to break the somber mood and pass one to her. "Here is to the next 50 years of marriage baby" I say as we tap our glasses into each other. I hold her hand and play with her wedding rings. I look down and kiss her hand. "Lets go for a drive Josh" Colleen suggests. I nod my head and go in to get showered and changed.

We jump into the car and go for a drive to get some Starbucks and listen to some music at a beach club we know about. We sit sipping our drinks and we order some more food and just enjoy each other discussing the kids and future plans. Then our conversation turns serious....
