~Your POV~
After work, you ate some food from the cafeteria, and headed back to your quarters. Once you got back, you grabbed your sketchbook and pencil and sat down at your desk.
"Computer, put on High Hopes by Panic At The Disco." You ordered. The computer listened to your command, and the upbeat song started playing. Sure, it was a song from the 21st century but you related with it quite a bit and felt like the lyricists wanted to make the listeners feel happy and empowered. But before you could start drawing, you heard a knock at your door.
"Computer, pause!" You ordered. "Come inside." The doors opened to reveal your commander.
"Hello, Lieutenant. I see you've made yourself comfortable." He greeted.
"Hello, sir, what brings you here?" You questioned.
"I just wanted to check on your progress, were you busy?"
"Oh no! I-I was about to start drawing."
"You're an artist?"
"I wouldn't say that, I'm not that good."
"Would you mind if I take a look at some of your art?"
"No, I don't mind, let me get my sketchbook." You replied. You got up to grab your sketchbook and handed it to him. Very carefully, he opened the cover and looked at each drawing while handling it with care. Everytime he flipped a page, he would very softly use his forefinger to curve the corner slightly and proceed to slowly move the page to the other side with all four. Watching him do this so attentively seemed somewhat erotic.
"Fascinating." He mumbled.
"As I said earlier, I'm not very good." You put yourself down, slightly embarrassed.
"You don't give yourself enough credit, (Y/N). I quite like your work. I have never been one to draw, I could never understand how to perfect it and prefered music over it. This is quite an accomplishment in my eyes." He complimented as he closed it and put it back onto the desk. You were quite shocked when he said your first name and blushed at the complement.
"O-Oh! Thank you! You play an instrument?"
"Multiple, to be correct."
"What do you play?"
"Piano and the Vulcan Lute."
"I've always wanted to play piano, actually."
"Really? Perhaps someday I could teach you."
"Oh no, you don't have to!"
"No, I insist, it would give me something else to do other than read and work."
"Alright, if you say so." You replied. "You said that you read. What have you been reading as of lately?"
"A series named Harry Potter, it's an old series, but it is one suggested to me by my mother. I have just finished the series as of yesterday." He answered.
"Oh! That's one of my favorites!"
"Really?"
"Of course! I've read it around 7 times and even have the side stories, scripts, playbills, and all of the movies!"
"You seem really dedicated to this series."
"That's because I am! Sure, the main character isn't the best, but the other characters are amazing!" You continued to geek out as Spock simply listened to your ramblings, and as you rambled you looked up and found a small smile on his face, which just made you smile even more and continue rambling. Sometimes he would interject with a question, comment, or explain something that he found.
