~Spock's POV~

I woke up with a throbbing headache and squinted in pain when I turned on the extremely bright light. The only things I could remember from the night before was everything up till after I ate the chocolates, and even during the chocolate eating things were fuzzy. Disoriented, I got dressed and waited for (Y/N). Soon enough, she came out and laughed at me.

"What is it that you find funny, (Y/N)?" I asked slightly annoyed.

"Well, I didn't know that Vulcans had hangovers, and thought that you especially would roll higher in the constitution check." She pointed out. I was confused by her reference.

"What do you mean by roll higher?" I asked.

"It's a tabletop roleplaying game reference. Like Dungeons and Dragons or Pathfinder." She explained. My brain quickly remembered the two games, Dungeons and Dragons, or D&D, was released in the late 20th century while the other was released in the early 21st century. Both were similar, but while D&D had different editions, and the company who made Pathfinder bought the 3.5 edition of Dungeons and Dragons to create said game

"I see, I have never played before since it seems to be an emotional game." I added.

"That's why you change your character's personality to be something you can act as, for example, I can only play (Alignment[s]) because it would be harder for me to play other alignments. Certain alignments can make your character more emotional or logical due to the personalities that fit inside of each alignment." She explained further.

"Do you have any idea what alignment I would most fit?"

"I believe you're more of a lawful neutral. You follow the law but only if it would fit your morals and beliefs."

"Fascinating..." I muttered.

"It really is, but we should probably get going!" She reminded me as she took hold of my arm.

"Oh, yes, that is a good idea." I remembered, embarrassed that I had somehow forgotten. I then proceeded to walk her to her station, and then made my way to the sick bay to get some medicine for my hangover.

"Hello, Spock." The doctor grumbled.

"Hello, doctor, could you prescribe me some medicine for a headache?" I asked. He turned around with a mischievous grin.

"Headache? Now here I was thinking that Vulcans didn't get headaches!" He poked.

"Yes, a headache, a migraine to be more specific as I am also sensitive to light." I explained further.

"And what caused such a thing, Spock?"

"Chocolate."

"Spock, you have got to be joking." He laughed.

"I do not joke, Doctor. Vulcans can become inebriated when we eat chocolate, and I have unfortunately gained what humans call a hangover." I explained, annoyed.

"Give me a second. I'll get you something for it." He laughed. He went over to a cabinet and grabbed a bottle of pills, and threw the bottle at me, which I caught.

"You shouldn't be throwing things, Doctor." I grumbled.

"Yes, well you caught it as I thought you would, which means your reflexes aren't affected. Now take two of those and the migraine will go away in 30 minutes." He prescribed. I opened the bottle, and did as he ordered.

"Thank you, doctor. I will head to my station now."

"See ya later, Spock." He called back. I exited the sick bay and made my way over to my station. Just as McCoy stated, the medicine took effect 30 minutes later. My week passed quickly and each day I talked to (Y/N) and sometimes even her friend. Everything was going fine until after that week.

~Your POV~

You walked out of your quarters to find your Vulcan boyfriend with a furrowed brow, and couldn't help but chuckle a little.

"What is it that you find funny, (Y/N)?" He asked, slightly annoyed.

"Well, I didn't know that Vulcans had hangovers and thought that you especially would roll higher in the constitution check." You pointed out.

"What do you mean by roll higher?" He asked confused.

"It's a tabletop roleplaying game reference. Like Dungeons and Dragons or Pathfinder." You explained.

"I see, I have never played before, it seems to be an emotional game."

"That's why you change your character's personality to something you can act as, for example, I can only play (Alignment[s]) because it would be harder for me to play other alignments. "Do you have any idea what alignment I would most fit?"

"I believe you're more of a lawful neutral. You follow the law but only if it would fit your morals and beliefs."

"Fascinating..." He pondered.

"Yes it is, but we should probably get going!" You reminded as you took his arm.

"Oh, yes, that is a good idea." He remembered. The two of you then made your way to your work space. You were greeted by your best friend with a hug as the two of you walked to your cubicle.

"So how was the date?" She asked.

"It was great, actually! Well, until he got drunk off of chocolate!" You laughed.

"Vulcans can get drunk off of chocolate?" She questioned.

"Well, yeah! Turns out that Spock's actually a light drunk though, he got wasted from two dark chocolate frogs, and now he has a bit of a hangover." You explained making her laugh as you started to work.

"Well I hope he recovers! What else happened?" She asked. You then began to go into elaborate detail about the date while you worked. You could tell that she was becoming jealous of your relationship as you rambled.

"You know, I'm really glad that you have someone that cares about you. Especially Spock, he's a reliable guy." She complimented.

"Yeah, he really is. He actually listens to me! It's amazing!" You laughed.

"Are you implying that I don't listen?" She teased acting offended.

"You're a dork!" You shook your head smiling. The two of you continued to talk as the day went by. You then went home and watched the week happen, that was until something happened with Spock.
