~Your POV~

You wake up and do your usual morning routine of getting ready. As you walked out the door you looked over and was quite shocked when you found Spock waiting for you.

"Oh hey, Spock! How are you doing?" You greeted.

"I am doing well, (Y/N). Would you mind if I joined you on your way to work?" He asked.

"Y-yeah it's perfectly fine!" You stumbled slightly.

"Then let us get going." He replied. The two of you began to make your way to your workplace.

Why did he wait for me? It would be quicker for him to head to work without me. He doesn't seem to do this with anyone else... You pondered. You looked up at him and saw that his ears were tinted slightly green, you wondered why they were more green than usual.

"Hey, I'm sorry for rambling last night." You apologized.

"There is no need to apologize, besides, I found your opinions to be quite thought provoking." He replied. Then he took a turn off of your usual route.

"Um- Spock? The route's this way." You pointed out.

"I know, follow me." He insisted. You were confused, but followed anyways. He led you all the way down to the lobby. The wall was a window that allowed you to see space and was full of chairs and tables, the tables had a variety of single player and multiplayer games coded into them. He led you to the window which showed what seemed to be an 'M' class planet below.

"Right below us is the planet Risa, a planet known to be better than the human equivalent to a vacation. If you wish, while our ship is being examined we could possibly go and spend some time together." He offered, during this you could see his ears go even more green.

"Of course, Spock! Though I didn't know you were into that type of relaxation. I thought Vulcans relaxed by-"

"Going into a comatose-like state for a period of time?"

"W-well yeah."

"Consider this as going as friends, and that I would rather be conscious if I were to spend time with you."

"So we're friends now?" you smiled cheerfully.

"Is that not what I said?" He sassed slightly which made you laugh.

"When are we going down?"

"Tomorrow morning would be a sufficient time."

"So I will see you then?"

"Yes, I will meet you at your door at our usual time."

"Sounds good!" You smiled. "I'll see you tomorrow, Spock!" You stated as you made your way out of the lobby.

"See you then, (Y/N)." He replied. You then made your way to work. All you could feel was happiness and flutters of excitement. Soon enough, you sat down and found your cubicle partner, (B/F/N), waiting for you. You've known eachother since high school but she was able to get a job on the enterprise before you.

"You took a while to get here, anything happen?" She asked, only a touch concerned.

"Commander Spock just wanted to talk to me."

"Whoa wait- you two are talking now?" She teased.

"W-what?! N-no! We're just friends!"

"Really? Then what were you talking about?"

"H-he just wanted to know if I wanted to go with him down to the planet tomorrow." You mumbled slightly with a red face.

"Honey that's called a date." She corrected.

"H-he said we were going as friends."

"Come on, admit it! You like him and he likes you also!"

"Nuh-uh!" You denied childishly, making her laugh.

"Whatever, (N/N), let's just get to work." She smiled teasingly.

~Spock's POV~

I woke up and did my usual morning routine and once more waited for my neighbor to come out of her quarters. Today, I plan to ask her out on a platonic date due to it being too early to ask her to be my significant other and besides, I must try to figure out her personality more.

"Oh hey, Spock! How are you doing?" She greeted with a smile and bright eyes as she came out of her quarters.

"I am doing well, (Y/N). Would you mind if I joined you on your way to work?" I questioned.

"Y-yeah it's perfectly fine!" She stuttered as her face went red. I have only been able to deduct a few reasons on why her face goes red and her speech stumbles when she's around me. The stutter could be due to a psychological reason, but her blood rushing to her face could be either an emotional response, or something medical wise involving her heart.

"Then let us get going." I insisted. We then took the route to her work place. My feelings refused to go away and blood rushed to my head, making my ears warm. After a bit of talking, I took a turn which left (Y/N) quite shocked.

"Um- Spock? The route's this way." She pointed out confused.

"I know, follow me." I nodded. She followed as I had asked and I could feel my heart race as we made our way to the lobby. Once we entered, I led her to the observation window which showed the planet Risa. I could feel my heart throbbing against my chest.

"Right below us is the planet Risa, a planet known to be better than the human equivalent to a vacation. If you wish, while our ship is being examined we could possibly go and spend some time together." I offered. During the explanation however, I could slowly feel my face and ears become even more flushed.

"Of course, Spock! Though I didn't know you were into that type of relaxation. I thought Vulcans relaxed by-"

"Going into a comatose-like state for a period of time?" I finished.

"W-well yeah." She chuckled lightly.

"Consider this as going as friends, and that I would rather be conscious if I were to spend time with you."

"So we're friends now?" She questioned with a hopeful tone.

"Is that not what I said?" I sassed slightly which made her giggle. My heart skipped and almost cracked a smile at the cuteness of her giggle.

"When are we going down?"

"Tomorrow morning would be a sufficient time."

"So I will see you then?"

"Yes, I will meet you at your door at your usual time."

"Sounds good!" She agreed. She then made her way out of the lobby. "I'll see you tomorrow, Spock!" She waved goodbye.

"See you then, (Y/N)." I replied. Once she was out of the room and out of earshot, I couldn't help but feel flustered and mistakenly cracked a smile. But once I did, I shoved away the emotions and began to make my way to work.

"Hey, Spock! What took you so long? Was it that girl?" Teased Captain Kirk.

"If you are referring to Lieutenant (L/N), then I was only talking to her." I replied.

"Oh? What about?" Uhura asked curiously.

"I am afraid that conversation is between me and the Lieutenant."

"So you've asked her out then?" Sulu interjected.

"Now we both know that that is not correct." I sassed.

"Vhy don't ve leave Spock alone guyz." Chekov insisted in his russian accent.

"Thank you, ensign." I stated. The rest just sighed and rolled their eyes as they got back to work. I swear, the only interesting thing humans can find is someone else's business, it is extremely immature of them.
