(A/N. A little change not major but I change the day. So instead of everyone saying the party is on Friday they will say tomorrow since I wanted to speed things up.K carry on.)

"You're not serious about not going, right?" Dawn says with her eyes on the road, as we pulled out of the school. She was referring to what Zeke and I talked about. Obviously Zeke had told her. Damn it.
"I was just annoyed." I leaned my head on the window. It felt cold against my forehead. I watched two water drops raced down. I guess it had rain while we were in school.
"You need to stop letting him get to you." Dawn sighed. She knew how I felt about Calum. She knew how I cried after that prank that Calum did. She was the only person that I let see my weak side. Ashton saw once but that was because he was there at the moment when I broke down. That day was my birthday.
"I know but sometimes it just gets to me." I sighed. I don't know why I was still holding on to that memory; I wanted to forget the day so badly.

"This is so unlike you." Dawn shook her head at me. It made me laugh how she could be my best friend and be a teacher at the same time.

"You sound like a teacher yelling a student who behaved badly for the first time." I spoke the thoughts in my head.

"You know how I feel about people bailing out on plans." She was referring back to this summer. And let me tell you it wasn't pretty.

"Yeah, I don't want another Daniel issue." I chuckled, thinking back at the memory. Although it wasn't the best thing to experience at the moment when you think back to it was pretty funny.

The Daniel issue, as I call it, is about our friend Daniel getting embarrassed in front of strangers by the one and only Dawn. Daniel was and still is one of our friends. During the summer the group had decide to hang out at some place to meet up. For weeks we all have been planning this to make sure that everyone could come. Everything was all set, but on the day that we all planned to meet up. Daniel decided to bail. And knowing Dawn she did not approve of that. So after two days we all met up at a restaurant. Daniel came and so did Dawn. Now Dawn is known to hold a grudge, so when she saw Daniel, she gave him a piece of her mind. In front of the whole restaurant, she cursed him out. She was about to hit Daniel if Alan hadn't held her back. Daniel was pale as if he seen a ghost. Daniel never ever bailed again. No one else did either for that matter.

"Yeah, I don't think anyone else does either. But seriously don't let him get into your head. He is just someone who shouldn't matter to you." Dawn said.

"I know I'm sorry I was acting stupid." I glanced back at the window and saw familiar houses that were on my street.

We arrived in my driveway to my house. My mom car that was parked there in the morning was no longer there meaning she went to work. Dawn turned off the car and we both climbed out. I walked over to my garage and put in the code to the key pad that opened the garage. As soon as we were inside we threw our backpacks by the stairs and walked into the kitchen to hunt for food, before we had to change and go to work.

.

"Hello ladies!" Our manger greets us as we walk into the dinner at we work in.

"Hey Jim" I smiled.

"Zoey can you handle that right side of the place while Dawn you can handle the counter?" Jim instructed us.

"Yeah sure." Dawn smiled at the old man. Jim was 65 year old, his parents brought this place when he was little and when they passed away Jim decided to run this place. He was a very nice guy who has a wife and two kids. Both of his kids moved to different states to work. That left Jim with no choice to hire people. He loved staying up to date with new things that was going on, so that’s why he hired teenagers to work here. Plus it allowed other teens to come hangout here. I wouldn't blame people for coming to this place had amazing food. And I love food so you can see why I never complain about coming here.
