Zoey's P.O.V

"Mommy I'm home!" I shouted in a baby voice.

I dropped my backpack by the front door and walked into the kitchen to see my mom and her lawyer who is still here.

"Oh hi," I say slightly embarrassed.

"Hello Zoey," the lawyer smiles.

I have only seen her, a couple of times over few years ago. I remember my mom was stressed out by the situation my dad had left us. At the time I was 15 and I had a really hard time understanding why he did what he did. I remember my mom crying over a paper that I guessing was my dad sent. From then I helped my mom find a lawyer. My mom didn't want a lawyer at first but I convinced her that she should get one she gave in. We didn't go to court since it was oblivious my dad wasn't going to show but there were papers and signing and tons of waiting.

"Hey honey, how was school?" My mom asked she too was smiling.

"Way better than the other days and that's coming from me." I suspiciously looked at the two of them. No papers were on the counter but there was in fact a small box with a box on it. The two of them sat next to each other with coffee mugs in their hand.

My mom laughed, "That's good. I'm guessing you are aware of your new schedule that you been given." I nodded. I went into the fridge to hunt for some food. I found frozen pizza and decided to make that. "Well good, now this is all part of the deal you made." I looked at her confused. I don't remember her saying she will get my schedule changed.

"Not that I don't mind but that wasn't even mentioned." I informed her. I walked over to the microwave and put the pizza in.

"I know I talked to Dawn earlier about what you really wanted and she mention how you dreaded your old one." I nodded. At least I knew Dawn was not completely evil. I guess I won't be running over her.

"Thanks mom. But one more thing, why is your lawyer here?" I wanted to ask her that at school but I fucking school bell just had to ring. Fucking bell no one likes you.

"Well that's a bit more detailed talk." I tilted my head. What the hell does that mean?

"Well the school oblivious wasn't going to change your schedule if your mom went there alone. They needed more of legal enforcement." Melanie, her lawyer, said.

"You threatened t sued them!?" The question came out to be more of a statement.

The microwave beeped and I went to go get my pizza. I sat down again and began to eat when my mom spoke.

My mom laughed, "No, no. I didn't do that, but I now could." I starred at her completely confused.

"No your mom just, now kind of manages the place."Melanie said. I took a bite out of my food.

"What's that suppose to mean?" I asked with my mouth full.

"It means after a couple of weeks I'm going to own the building." My mom answered.

"Why would you want to do that?" I asked getting up to get a drink.

"Because they were being completely stupid, I mean you were right to wanting to burn down the place. Hell I would have helped you after talking to the people there. Completely blind idiots, the only people who are mostly likely to be good there is the nurse and you're track coach." My mom explained.

"So now you want to buy the school." I asked but once again I said it like it was a statement.

"Just for a year," My mom shrugged taking a sip of her coffee.
