"Are you insane?" I screamed. I didn't care if other people what were giving me strange looks. I was completely furious that my best friend would even set up that kind of arrangement. Just two days ago she was telling me to ignore him and not let him get to me and now she set this bullshit up. I was ready to pounce on her but I decided to let her explain herself.

"I know you don't like this idea, but it would really benefit in ways you don't even know." She spoke bullshit. I just the sight of her made my blood boil. I clench my jaw and gave her a death glare.

"Benefit in ways I don't even know?" I shouted in angrier by now I think almost everyone in the diner was looking this way. No one even spoke a word not even Calum.

"Look I know you don't like this idea but your mom did." I froze. My mom, thought this was a good idea? How was that even possible? And in what way was this related to me getting a car? Or even Calum getting into the band? What made them think that we would do this arrangement? Why would my mom agree? Tons of questions flooded my mind in different orders and I wanted answers.

"Her mom agreed to this?" Calum had finally spoken since the Luke and Dawn announced this arrangement.

"Yes, she did. Look we want you guys to 'date' for a while to show that you can handle situations you don't like or wanted to be in." Luke put air quotes around date.

"I get why you want Calum to do this but why does Zoey have to do this?" Melissa asked stepping to my side. Thank god she understood why I was furious.

"If Zoey does this it shows she can handle things like car accidents. Situation she doesn't want to like to be in." Dawn explained.

"What the fuck does it have to do with you? Why do you have to test my abilities to handle things?" I shouted. This was bullshit. This whole thing was bullshit.

"I'm just trying to prepare you. You may not like it but I want to help!"

"That has nothing to do with you! You are not my mother, Dawn!" I shouted. I shook my head, I ran a hand to my hair multiples time but I couldn't take it anymore. I grabbed my pouch not caring about putting it over shoulder and walked out of the diner. I heard a chair push back further and footsteps following. I didn't bother turning around to see who it was because I had a feeling I already knew.

"Zoey, please wait." She begged. I didn't want to hear her anymore. I know I seem to be over-reacting but to me it felt as if Dawn had stabbed me in the back. She knew how much getting a car would mean to me, and she even knew how much I despised Calum. "Zoey please wait, stop." She yelled the last part. I stopped when I was right in front of my mother's car.

"What?" I snapped to her turning around. She looked like she was about to cry. I don't understand why, she is the one who plan this. She should have known how I would have reacted to this.

"Look, please think about this. If you do this you will get a car. And who knows maybe you and Calum will stop hating each other." She tried to convince me.

"Is that what this is?" If she thought that Calum and I could become friends then she was insane. Sure at the party Calum and I acted like friends but how long did that last? Not long.

"Partly yes, but look your mother said yes because when I explained to her that you could learn how to deal with people who didn't want to she was on board. And not only people but situation you don't like or don't wanted to be, like I said in the diner."

"I can't believe you. You could have set me up with anyone in the world and you chose Calum?" I waved my hand in the air angrily.

"Didn't you hear me? I said maybe you and Calum could be friends." She shouted.
