Adrian's POV
"I want to call a truce" she said looking me straight in the eye
"A truce, why " I asked
"Well I realized I have no reason not to like you and we may have use for each other" she stated "so do we have a deal" she asked
"Yes, but I have a request"
She looked amused for a while "fine what do you want"she eventually ask
"Well my plan was, for as long as I'm here I'm gonna do things I would not be able to do back home" I say
"So?"
"I want you to help me" i reply
Her facial expression changes to plain amusement and she laughs
"Fine " she eventually says
" Really" I didn't think she would accept I was joking I would have accepted her request anyway but this works too.
"Yeah, you want me to teach you bad, I will" she adds, I smile and shake her hand
"you have deal" I say
"One more thing you are my partner for the competition" she says and walked out of the gym.
While I stood there smiling like an idiot.
Kerna's POV
When got home and met pretty in the apartment Alexa was around too but she was in her room which I'm grateful for.
"I found a partner for the competition" I told pretty we are both sitted on the couch trying to watch a movie.
"Really, who" she asks
"Adrian" I reply,
"What" she turned to me surprised "you mean the super hot British new kid Adrian or there is another Adrian doing this course that I don't know of" I nodded
"Oh my gosh, did you sleep with him" she exclaims
"Are you crazy off course not" I reply not hiding my amusement
" How are you even sure he can dance"
"He can" i reply and tell her everything that happened from this morning till we made our deal.
"Oh wow, oh wow wow, wow you go girl" she jumps then she starts running out of the house
" where are you going" i ask her
" To find Megan"
" Why?"
" To gossip duh " she says and she gone.
Later that evening i was studying in my room when my phone rang.
"Hey mum " i greet
" Karen why haven't you been answering my calls" she ask and i roll my eyes, i love my mother alot but she get really clingy and protective at times, ever since dad died and i went into depression, I'm fine now but she still feels she needs to call me all the time to check on me.
"I'm fine mum I'm answering now aren't i "
She sighs
" Alright i just wanted to know if you'll be coming home for Christmas "
"I will mum i always do please stop worrying about me, you need to take care of yourself and kelis, cause I don't know what I'll do if I ever loose any of you" I beg
"Fine please be safe darling promise"
"I promise"
I hang up, there is a lump in my chest and I'm fighting the urge to cry, I never cry unless it has to do with someone I love which is only my family.
I open the mini fridge in my room to get water but there's none in it so I decide to go to the kitchen, I got to the dinning and saw Alexa I ignore her and head for the fridge.
"Heard you talking with mum" she just couldn't resit now could she
"Mum, remember when I used to call her that? then she would bake real nice cookies and we would share them. Weren't those good times"
Ignore her K she just wants your reaction, I grab a bottle of water and a glass
"Oh and Dad would..."
"Stop it Alex " I snap taking the whole bottle and heading back to my room.
" Why Karena, why should I stop..." I cut her short by banging my room door shut, I heard her laugh, "psychopath" I mutter.
I got tired of sitting inside so I decide to go for a stroll. I'm just walking with no intended direction I spot the park and decide to go there. There is a free bench by the slide so I sit there,I place my headphones and put it on its playing stitches by Shawn Mendes, I close my eyes and allow both the music and the fresh air cool all my nerves.
"Hey" a very familiar voice disturbs me I'm tempted to snap at the person but I remember our truce.
"Hey" I open my eyes to look at him, the sun's Ray reflect on his face, highlighting all his features, it's moves something in me I just don't know what.
I blinked hoping it wasn't obvious I was staring at him.
"Can I sit" he asked gesturing to the space beside me
" Yah sure" I reply
We sit in a comfortable silence until he speaks
" I didn't picture you as a park person" he says
I go back to my formal position before he came
"I was" I reply
"Why was" he ask, I can feel him looking at me, like if he looks hard enough he'll be able to understand me, but he won't, no one can.
"I used to to love the park, when I was younger, my dad would always take me." I explain. I have never felt comfortable talking about my father I try not to bring him up, not even with the therapist.
"Why used"
"What?"
"You said you used to love going to the park, why past terms " he asks
"Because I stopped,now it reminds me of him.i answer and it's true, I tried coming to the park but I would see children with their parents and It would come back.
"Let's change topic please" I say
"Okay" he agrees
"Let's talk about you " I request "tell me about your self" not like I care though I just feel that's a much safer ground rather, I tell him to buzz off.
"Well, my mum is American, my dad British, I grew up in London, I'm an only child..." I paid attention as he spoke I thought I'd be bored but I wasn't he was really interesting and after sometime I found my self laughing, there was something about him that drew my complete attention, everything about him reminds me of Julian , maybe this is what I need,I never got any closure, it's probably not fair to him but I needed it.
"Adrian" someone called interrupting us. I watched as he approached us he had resemblance with Adrian but not so much also he looked like he did a lot of work outs as he got closer i noticed he had sharp green eyes, very deep contrast from Adrian's.
"That's my cousin Ivan"Adrian said before he reached us
" Hey man, I was wondering were you went" Ivan said with a smirk eyeing me. Obviously a flirt I thought;I hate flirts.
"Ivan, this is Kerna" Adrian introduces
"Oh I know" Ivan says and smiles
He's probably a senior.
"I'm going now" I tell Adrian
"Okay bye"
"Bye" I nod at Ivan not to seem rude not like I care though but I don't think Adrian would like me being rude to his cousin and like I said I plan on keeping him for a while.
