Megan waved goodbye one last time before driving off.
Cass left really early to catch her flight. Pretty left few minutes ago and then Megan. It feels great to be finally alone I'm almost tempted to stay but mum would have my head, nah just kidding she won't.
Knowing the people I live with I go around the apartment just to make sure it won't burn down before we return after the new year. Then mum would really have my head, she pays loads for this apartment security and all and non of the girls pay rent.
Last night for the first time since the accident I slept peacefully, I almost didn't want to get out of bed .
"Come quick guys an alien has eaten kerna and taken her place" Megan yelled when she came into my room and found me still sleeping.
After making sure the apartment is safe enough to leave I lock up and tell the security guy when we will be back, I finally get in my car and drive off.
One hour and thirty five minutes later I'm typing in the password for main gate to the mansion and driving in and yes it's just one hour and thirty five minutes between my college and my house, I wish it where farther like Cassy who had to take a four hour flight from home to school.
I pack my car in front of the house Mom and kelis are already standing at the entrance to welcome me.
I engulfed in a soul crushing hug before I can say a word.
"Kel you are chocking me" I managed to cough out
"Sorry, I really missed you, how are you getting more pretty this isn't fair" she exclaims
"Well if it helps you are more beautiful"
"I know" she says flipping her hair
Kelis is an exact replica of my mom she got everything from my moms light brown hair and hazel eyes to her height she's is just sixteen yet she is already taller than me.
At same time my mom reaches me and pulls me for her own pain inflicting hug.
"Don't ever ignore my calls, I was worried" she says and I nod
"This house has been extremely boring without you" kelis says dramatically as we enter the house
"Really and what about Mom"I muse
"Mom is boring and you know it" she replies
"Really I am? Here I was thinking I'm the most interesting mother in the world" mom responds
"No you are not you are like an old grandma"
They continue to batter like kids and I couldn't be more happy.
"C'mon sis I have a lot to tell you" kelis says and pulls me with her to my room
"Lunch is in ten minutes" Mom informs us
"Alright" I reply and allow kelis to pull me
We get to my room which is exactly how I left it, my room here has little or no difference with the one in the apartment this room is bigger with a king bed but it's basically the same theme thanks to mom and wanting me to feel at home.
I'm quietly arranging my things where they are meant to be while kelis tells me everything that has been happening in her life for the past months.
I quietly as she talks about her friends school subjects she hates and likes, and how she is enjoying her first year of high school, but the only thing that catches my attention is when she started talking about the school quarter back that won't leave her alone.
"I mean he is hot and I may or may not have a crush on him but I don't think I want to get into a relationship yet" she says
I stare at her and see myself just about her age with the same problem, I would never let my sister's life turn out like mine. She deserves nothing but the happiness she brings.
"Hey, are you listening" she snaps her fingers in my face
"What?"
"I said what should I do?" She pouts
"Well, do you like him" I ask
"A little"
"Is he nice not just to you to other people as well"
" he is actually" she says like she is just realizing it
"Then invite him over"
"Yeah, wait what" She looks at me like I'm crazy
"Tell him you can't accept until your family do if he doesn't agree he can buzz of and go suck his toe" I explain avoiding more colourful words because I swear my mother has a curse detector planted somewhere in this house.
"I have a feeling this is something dad said" she says with a raised eyebrow
"Yup"
A knock on the door prevents me from saying anything thing else.
"Come in" I reply
The door slowly opens and a smallish girl with short blonde hair walks in I don't think I know her.
"Your mom said to call you guys for lunch" she Says shyly, I can't ignore the slight accent probably french but none the less it takes me mind to Adrian. I feel like I messed up what ever we had, we haven't seen or spoken since the club incident and I don't know what to expect.
She is about to leave but kelis stops her.
"Elena wait"
"Karen remember Mrs Franca from the villa" she asked and I nod
We grew up in the villa Francesca was the french cook she also took care of us at times
"How can I forget" I say
"Well this is her daughter Elena" she says and my eyes go wild, I never knew she had a daughter
"Hi" I waved at her
"Hi" she replies shyly, she looks nothing more than seventeen
"Elena this is my older sister kar ... Kerna"
"How old are you" my curiosity asked
"Eighteen" she replies and I nod then she turns around and lives
"Wow" I exclaim
"That's what all the boys in school say when she passes"
"She goes to school with you?"
"Yup, it's like I've gotten two times famous since she came two months ago. Everyone is either like oh my God your cousin is so pretty do you think she would go out with me or wow kelis your family is full of good genes" she mocked with teasing voice.
"Awn are you jealous" I joked, if there is one thing the trills aren't it's jealous, my mom always said you can have anything you want so why bother about that little thing someone else has.
"Off course not, didn't you hear the part where I said my popularity has increased"
We both laughed.
I missed my sister, I've missed my family, they are what's left of my world and I'll be dammed if I let it fall apart.
