I wake up covered in sweat even th0pough the room temperature is 1 WA6°,
I'm breathing profusely and my head is aching, something weird happened in my dreams today instead of Julian sitting beside me begging me to stop the car it was my dad.
The intensity of my dreams put me in a bad mood for the day and it had to be today if all days. In my head I wished that Mom's announcement last night was another nightmare, but it wasn't the servants moving on and about was enough to prove it.
During breakfast Mom was the first to notice my sour mood.
"What's the problem K" she had asked, but I just shook my head as a reply. Then kelis said
"Why didn't your mood swings choose another day to show up"
"I'll be in my room call me when they start coming" I mutter and left the dining to my room.
From my room window I watch as the luxurious cars troop into the compound. Few minutes ago kelis came to inform me of their arrival and I couldn't be more glad, note the sarcasm.
I head into my walk-in closet, filled with clothes I never wear, this is where you find all the Gucci, channel, Prada you know those things I was obsessed with in highschool that now mean nothing to me.
I pick a black bodycon dress and my silver stilleto heels, after dressing, I fix my makeup and curl the tip of hair which is going to be another topic for today.
When I get downstairs Mom, kilis and Emily are already standing by the door so I join them.
My dad's family is the first to coming. My dad has two siblings Aunt Belinda or Linda as I like to call her and uncle Rex. Linda being a girl got married first and has two kids, twins both my age. Camila and canon.
We grew up together all four us used to be best friends. Alexa Camila Canon and I, but we are are we now, Alexa has become the queen of all bitches and Camila is not any better, Canon is the only one still reasonable but we've barely been in contact.
Uncle Rex was the first to come in with his fiance I think her name is Aimee, and Canon is exactly behind them with a frown on his face which can only mean that he just had a fight with his mother and sister.
He smiles when he sees me.
"Karen, woah pink hair I like but I'm not sure about Sheila" he says referring to our grandmother, we started calling her that years ago behind her back.
As if on queue
"(Gasp) karena Augustina Trills, what happened to your hair" my grandmother's shrilling voice erupts from the doorway Canon whispers good luck and I sigh.
"Welcome grandmother, how was your trip" I say in an exaggeratedly sweet voice
She turns to my mother
"Katherine is the how you train your daughters to dress like hoodlums"
"Karen wants a change in style I don't see what's wrong" mom say plainly.
"What would people say"
Aunt Linda and her husband finally come in with Camila behind them.
"Why can't you be responsible like your cousin" Sheila says
"She's an adult Sheila, let her be" Grandpa kobby says, I didn't even notice him come in.
Soon enough my Mom family came, my Mom's mother also didn't like me hair but she did express it verbally.
After welcoming everyone we went to the dining for lunch and after that everyone can go their way and do their own things.
The dinner wasn't so awkward the adults kept to thier conversation, kelis and the younger cousins where having a good time at their side of the table, and even though Canon was too busy flirting with Emily he still tried to make small talks with me while Camila just ignored every one except her phone but I caught her stealing glances at me once in a while only God knows what's going on in that head of hers.
After lunch the adults take the game room to catch on kelis and the younger ones are in the reception, I can't lock myself in my room because it's considered rude so I'm forced to stay with canon, Emily and Camila in the sitting room.
Canon sides we watch a movie and so that what we are doing.
An hour has passed the movie is still on, Canon is still flirting with Emily and Camila is still stealing glances at me and it's becoming annoying.
"You got a problem Camila" I snap and she smirks.
"Stupid bitch" I mutter under my breath.
"How is Alexa" canon asks
"Karen and Alexa are no longer friends" Camila says
"I didn't ask you Cam" llp
I wonder how she knows that, I never told any of them that, I mostly never bring up the incident, l won't be shocked if they are still in contact. you know what they say bitches of the same feathers flock together sorry I meant birds.
"I'll be in my room" I say to no one in particular.
When got to my room I search for my phone that I hadn't seen since morning. When I find it I have three miss calls from Megan so I call her back.
"Hey" Megan squeals before i can say anything
"I saw a full house on your sisters story family get together right, how is it going"
"Terrible as usual"
A knock on my door interrupts whatever meg was going to say next.
"Come in" I say and Canon's head comes in first before the rest of him.
"Hey" he says
And I have to cover my ear so I don't get deft by Meg's squeal.
"Is that your super hot cousin Canon that Alexa used to have a crush on" she says and since the call is on loud speaker because I'm too lazy to hold it up to my ear or plug in head phones. Canon hears her and replies.
"The one and only" cocky asshole
"I call you later Meg"
"No no wait..." I end the call cutting short whatever she had to say.
"I like your friends" canon says and I glare at him
"Why are you here" I ask
"I came to spend time with my favorite coz" he says
"Okay, why are you really here"
'' Cam was getting on my nerves and I'd rather hang with you" he says.
With that said we started talking and gossiping about everyone down stairs just like old times.
When it was time for dinner Cami was sent to call us down but we ignored her and went down when we felt like.

So we may or may not have noticed that they called kerna Karen a lot in this chapter so in case you are confused it's because kerna's full name is Karena shortened to Karen that's what she was called before her father died and since his death affected her a lot it she stopped answering Karen. Why she doesn't answer Karena is because that's what her dead boyfriend Justin used to call her and so she could manage Karen but unless you want her on full bitch mode call he Karena. (✷‿✷)
