Chapter 41- DEFINITELY NOT JEALOUS

Shayla's parents left for Baskville the very next afternoon after making her promise them that she would come home, this month, for a few days.  

Respina was sad, like really very sad. She told Shayla that she felt as if she let her down. She felt bad because Mrs. Sukeney trusted her with her daughter and she made Shayla drink which led to a complicated mess. She held herself responsible. You should have seen the look on her face, the way she looked at me. She, maybe, considered me like her daughter. She was so happy with me on that day when she video-called. I let her down. All this mess started with my stupid plan. That psycho came into action after that picture scandal; after I made you drink. Mrs. Paeker gave me such an awful expression. God, I would never be able to forget it, that's what Respina said to Shayla after her parents went back. 

Aric kept wondering why didn't Kalier inform him that Elliema hasn't reached back home when Aric told him that she left for Sourovitas and why didn't he was worried about her sister. But Trivil knew the reason. He had been his friend for a good time. He anticipated that he might have started consuming drugs again, and when he does drugs, he doesn't care about anyone. 

Elliema was admitted to the same hospital for a few hours as she was traumatized by being trapped in a cupboard by a psycho girl. 

No matter how hard Dane and Basil tried, information about Aric getting shot leaked, and his fans went crazy. Aric received thousands of calls from people wishing him a speedy recovery. Aric had to announce on his social media accounts that he is fine and he was accidentally shot by a crazy, psycho fan.

Aric's mother, Mrs. Peppila Wiziann, almost fainted after Dane called Mr. Jasial Wiziann, Aric's father, to inform him about Aric. I was so afraid of her, Aric, felt she would teleport out of mobile and will eat me alive. She was horrifying, the way she shouted and scolded me for letting them know about you so late, was what Dane said to Aric. 

It has been twelve days since Aric came back home. He was healing. Shayla along with Respina visited him every second day. But Aric wasn't happy as Shayla, again, grew colder around him. He knew her father said something to her which made her act like that. But he was wrong, partially. 

It was six o'clock in the evening when Respina got ready to visit Aric but scrunched her eyebrows in confusion when she saw Shayla making notes while sitting on her bed.

"Okay, firstly, you never study in bed. Secondly, why aren't you ready yet? We have to go to Aric's. Leslie and Basil are coming too, today. Come on hurry up, you can study later," Respina said while combing her short, red hairs. 

"I am not going," Shayla said absentmindedly as she was writing down the notes.

"Sorry, what?" Respina said as she fingered her ear mockingly.

"I said I'm not going."

"Okay, WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU? Why are you acting strangely since we came back from the hospital? Even Aric is sad about this behavior of yours."

"If he's sad, then he should have talked to me all by himself," Shayla replied a bit bitterly while keeping her eyes on the book and notepad, but her concentration was evaporated now. 

"Seriously girl what's going on? I know your parents-"

"It's not due to my parents, it's due to Aric."

"What-"

"I told him that I like him."

"Yeah, I know that story - everybody, including you, told me many times - and he didn't say it back. So what? That doesn't mean-"

"Aric is always so confused about his feelings, Res. When it comes to feelings and love and relationships, he is always so confused. He himself doesn't know what he truly feels and what he truly wants. And this - this thing scares me," Shayla replied exhaustingly as she closed her book and notebook.
