Chapter 6(B)- THE CONCERT

Shayla felt her feet wobbling like jelly. She was feeling a tickling sensation on her palms and in the pit of her stomach. Her breathing became shallow and her ears became hot as they made their way toward the front row. She wouldn't have been nervous if she would have attended the concert as a fan who bought tickets. If this would have been the scenario, all she would have felt was excitement to see Carry perform live. But she was aware that tonight she would definitely meet people who know Aric closely, like his best friend Dane and many others, as she was with Leslie's sister and Leslie had a sisterly bond with Aric-- that's what Respina told her. 

Shayla was diving deep into the ocean of her thoughts when Respina shouted at the top of her lungs, which hauled her back to the surface, "LES!"

Shayla saw a tall, red-haired girl approaching their direction. She instantly knew that she was Respina's elder sister. She was shocked to see their facial resemblance, even though the hair color was the same, the length was different; Respina had short hair while Leslie had long. For a split second, she felt as if they were twins. Their eye color was different. Respina's eyes were light brown while Leslie's were dark black. Leslie was slightly taller than Respina.

Currently, they were standing in the front row, and in front of them was a huge, high, performance stage. There were four big screens on the right and left sides of the stage. At the corner of the stage, Dane was standing and talking to the organizers and sponsors. The garden started to fill up with people. There were big banners and posters of CarryWizz everywhere. Many security guards were appointed at different spots.

"You arrived right on time. It's about to begin," Leslie spoke to Respina and then glanced a look and Shayla and spoke again, "Is this your friend you were telling me about?

"Oh, yes. Shayla meet my sister Leslie Trinpit and Leslie she's my roommate Shayla Paeker."

Shayla knew that Respina belonged to a rich family but she never felt so as Respina never dressed so elegantly but upon seeing Leslie she could sense how greatly moneyed they were. Leslie was wearing light classy makeup with a pastel knee-length dress which looked quite expensive and her hair was tied in a high ponytail.

"Hey, Shayla. Finally, I got to meet you. I was looking forward to it. Res told me so much about you. To be honest, I was shocked as to how she was praising you, I mean she doesn't befriend girls much. All of her friends are mostly boys."

Shayla smiled as she spoke, "I was also eager to meet you. You both look so much similar. For a second I thought you guys are twins. You are very beautiful Leslie, nice meeting you."

"Thank you, sweetie, you are also looking gorgeous. Well, you girls enjoy, I'm going backstage otherwise Aric will kill me and so will Dane."

Shayla's heart skipped a beat as Leslie took Aric's name.

Shayla faced Respina and asked her when Leslie left, "Your sister works with Aric?"

"You can say so. My sister is a top-notch make-up artist and stylist. That's how Dane and she met. She was Aric's stylist during one of his song's shoots and Dane was there too, after all, he's Aric's manager. My sister is very polite and professional and Aric like such kinds of people so he always calls her for his make-over during any shoot or concert, plus now she's his BFF's girlfriend so...They share a good bro-sis type bond, as I told you already. "

"I see. So Dane became his manager and then his friend?"

"Nah. They are childhood buddies. Aric trusts Dane more than his life. When his YouTube channel started growing and he started getting offers of collaborations and advertisements, Dane used to help him. So from that time onwards, Dane manages all of his business inquiries."
