Respina was the biggest blabbermouth ever. Shayla knew if she would tell her what happened then she'll spread the news like a vine. But she, so desperately, wanted to talk to someone.   

Nattie and Bianca weren't a good option too as she was still angry with them after that poster kissing story.

She was pacing her room - no not hers but Aric's guest room - for the past twenty minutes. She didn't sleep last night, and neither did Aric. It was four o'clock in the morning and both of them were wide awake.

It was just a kiss on the cheek. ON THE CHEEK.

But it meant so much for them.

In a world where it isn't hard to find someone for establishing a physical relationship, just a kiss on the cheek made them realize that what they had between them was far above anything and everything. It was blissfully platonic.

Aric was, too, pacing his room restlessly. He wanted to call Dane but he knew he would tell the whole group about last night.

I should call Leslie, Shayla thought.

Should I call Gabrien instead? Aric thought.

No. They are all blabbermouths when it comes to me and Aric, Shayla spoke to herself.

Ugh. All of them are assholes. Wouldn't let go of such a golden opportunity to pull my leg till it breaks off from my body, Aric thought as he shook his head and chewed his nails.

I was drunk but I didn't kiss him that time. All it took was one book! ONE SINGLE ORIGINAL EDITION TO MAKE ME KISS HIM! Great! Great, Shayla. Great, Shayla scolded herself mentally.

Not alcohol but a book made her kiss me. Wow! This girl is full of surprises, Aric thought as he laughed silently.

I wonder how would I react if we'll ever kiss on his lips. I will die. Yes, I surely will die with my soul wandering around dreamily, Shayla blabbered inside her head.

Aric and Shayla pressurized their brain cells a lot and finally gave up as he called Dane and she called Respina. It's the fact, that no one can hide things from their best friends.

"YOU KISSED ARIC??!!!" Respina bellowed on the phone as soon as Shayla told her everything.

"On the cheek," Shayla spoke calmly while rubbing her forehead.

"SHE KISSED YOU? ON THE CHEEK?" Dane asked astonishingly after Aric told him the book and kiss story.

"Yeah, left one," Aric said with a grin.

"You kissed her back?" Dane asked curiously.

"Trust me I wanted to," Aric said while rubbing his forehead and biting his lips hesitantly.

"He kissed you back? Did he? Dammit, answer me! DID HE? TELL ME HE DID," Respina was yelling at the top of her lungs.

"Let me speak!" Shayla spoke while gritting her teeth. "NO, he didn't. He was too shocked to even blink his eyes."

"You should have if you wanted to," Dane spoke to Aric.

"She is not my girlfriend! How could I?! Plus, my parents were there," Aric spoke.

"WHAT THE--- YOU KISSED HIM IN FRONT OF HIS PARENTS?! Gurrlll! Gabrien was right the very first time! You got some serious guts!" Respina yelled with double shock.

"Yes, yes. In front of my parents, I got kissed by our Coco. But she was too excited. It all happened out of pure excitement," Aric spoke to Dane.
