Leaving Ji-Young

Hugh let you go and ran inside to find your parents. You decided to stay outside and look at the unfamiliar stars. You didn't notice a figure coming out from the doorway. You did notice, however, the small tap of shoes behind you. When you turned around you saw Ji-Young walking towards you, still in his King Albert skin. 

   " So, you found a king. "

   " I did. "

   " When will this dream end? "

   " I don't know. I would have figured you would know though. You're a Dream Walker for goodness sake. "

   " I only know when the dream changes when you do. "

   " Oh, so, you don't know? "

   " I don't know. "

   " Well, that's great. "

You turned back to the balcony's edge and looked over the railing. You gazed at the lake that wasn't too far from you. You could feel Ji-Young's stare on your back, but you shrugged it off, as nothing. You looked down at your hands and noticed they were translucent. The railing underneath your arms became visible. 

You turned towards Ji-Young and ran to him. You tried pulling at his shirt and you were able to grab it. Ji-Young looked down at your hands and he grabbed your wrist, lifting one of them upward.

   " You're waking up. "

   " I am? "

Your body started becoming more translucent and your dress started fading with you as well. Ji-Young didn't look worried for you at all. He knew that you would fall asleep again and he could just walk into your dream and see you. He wasn't too worried. 

   " I'm going to be in the hospital when I wake up. "

   " Why? "

   " Because the only reason I'm having this long dream is that I got in a car wreck. "

   " Oh, yeah you mentioned it in your first dream. You were in a car crash. "

   " Yeah, and those bitches caused it. I swear I'm gonna sue them! " You shouted at the air.

   " Who did? " Ji-Young asked with furrowed brows.

   " Just the three girls in my class. They bully me constantly and they saw me driving away from the store and they thought it would be funny if they threw a shotput-sized rock into my window. It hit my lap and I lost control of my car, and when I pushed it off of my lap it was too late. The hood of my car was already in front of the tree and the tree fell on top of my car. "

   " At least they called an ambulance. " Ji-Young said with anger lacing his words.

   " They didn't. Before I passed out I saw them run away from the scene without calling 911. Plus I think they're too dumb to notice what street we were on. "

   " Those bitches. "

   " You're telling me. "

Your skin was disappearing more and more as the seconds passed. You couldn't even see your arm anymore along with your feet. You looked up at Ji-Young.

   " I guess this is goodbye for now. "

   " Nah, it won't be. "

   " Why? Are you going to try and visit me in my other dreams? Aww, you'll miss me. "

   " Don't flatter yourself too much. You're just more interesting than the other dreamers around the world. "

   " I'm sure. Well, this is goodbye for now. "

You waved at him and your figure was completely gone. Ji-Young still leaned against the railing and looked at the floor. He was angry at the fact that you were put in the hospital because of three girls' idiocy. Of course, he secretly thanked them for sending you to him. That was the best part of the situation. 

He was curious about who the girls were. You never said their names and only expressed them to be 'bitches'. He was still at the ball, but everything had stopped. Everyone inside the ballroom had frozen and the wind stopped flying by. It was like time had stopped, except for Ji-Young. 

Ji-Young was able to move around but everything else was stopped. This is what happens when the dreamer wakes up from the dream or travels to a new dream. The dream they leave stops where you left it. For Dream Walkers, they can't be frozen in time, and once they leave the dream when the dreamer leaves they can't return. Not unless the dreamer comes back to that specific dream. 

Ji-Young didn't want to leave yet. He was content with looking up at the stars instead of heading to someone else's dream. He wanted to stay longer in your dream and see how far he can go with his abilities. 

   " She said they were at the store when she bumped into them. They must be in the same area. Maybe I can tamper with her head a little bit. "

He was still in your dream and he thought that he could somehow change the scenes around him to look at your memory. To see what happened today on the road. To infiltrate your mind.

   " Let's give it a try. It can't be that hard. "

He jumped off of the balcony and towards the lake. Of course, the water had stopped flowing but it was the best place for it to be. He jumped into the lake and started swimming to the bottom. When he reached the mud-covered bottom he started feeling and touching the floor. He was looking for something specific. 

Something that every dream had. A hatch.

   ' Found it! '

He pulled on the handle and it opened towards him. He swam to the hatch and pulled himself out. No water fell out of the other end, and he emerged from the hatch completely dry. The hatch shut behind him and he saw many pictures around him. They were floating in the air and he could see that they were videos of your life. Every second since you were born.

   ' They should be from today. So, it's the latest video. '

He walked to the end of the line of the videos. There was one video that didn't have a friend beside it. He knew this was the video from today. Another video popped up beside it and he realized that it was from you waking up and he could see the thumbnail was a view of your hospital room. His anger was rising and he played the video of the crash. 

He watched the girls bully you and he saw the main leader through the boulder through your window. He paused your memory and zoomed in on the three. He tapped each of their bodies twice and found names floating above them.

   ' Looks like I am more powerful than a regular Dream Walker. '

He memorized their names and created a plan in his head. By the time you go back to sleep, you won't know what happened until you woke up.
