Part 14

(The next day Faadilah continues with the wedding plans and books an appointment to the wedding boutique that carries the Vera Wang dresses. There is a month's wait to get in so she is hoping that when her appointment arrives, she will find the dress of her dreams).(Faadilah has also created a list of people to attend the wedding. There are 75 guests to send invitations to. She is hoping that half of those people will be able to make the trip to Jamaica).

In the meantime Mike is contacting the airlines to book the tickets and then calls Faadilah to ask her if she has any new information for Tracy regarding the wedding details).

Mike- Hey babe, how is it going today?

Faadilah- It is going good, just really busy. I am just looking at bridesmaid dresses for my sister. She will be my maid of honor. You're still having your brother be the best man, correct?

Mike- Oh ya, he has already agreed to it. Did they say how long for the invitations to arrive?

Faadilah- Ya they said 2 -3 weeks. I made out a list of guests. I have invited 75. I don't think they will all be able to attend though, but I am hoping.

Mike- Ya that would be great if they could all attend. Okay listen babe, I want to call Tracy down at the resort and give her more details, is there anything new to tell her yet?

Faadilah- No babe, I can't do anything till the invitations come, are sent out and received back regarding a number count. The flowers I am still trying to contact the lady down in Jamaica, she's on vacation this week. I have to wait until next week, and as for the food we need to discuss it. Do you want to come over this weekend and we can do that?

Mike- Yes for sure. That is one of the most important things making sure we have the best food at the wedding.

Faadilah- Okay great babe. I will see you in three days on Saturday. Is 3pm okay with you, then you can also stay for dinner.

Mike- Yes that's perfect. Okay bye babe, love you

Faadilah- Bye. Love you too.

(The weekend arrives and Mike goes over to Faadilah's to discuss the menu for the wedding).

(doorbell ringing)

Faadilah - (answers the door) Hey babe, come in. (kisses Mike  hello)

Mike- Hey babe, you look really pretty. Did you get all dolled up just for me?

Faadilah- You know I like to look nice for you.

Mike- Babe, you can wear rags, and you will always be beautiful to me.

Faadilah Aww... babe, I love you. (Kisses him again)

(the two of them walk into the kitchen to sit at the table and discuss the wedding menu. Shortly after 30min or so Rose arrives home and begins to make dinner).

Rose- Hello you two. I thought I saw your car outside Mike.

Mike- Hello Mrs. Khan. How are you today?

Rose- I'm well, thank you for asking. I was out doing some errands and picking up groceries. I was thinking about making a nice pasta sauce for dinner tonight. How do you feel about that?

Mike- Oh it's fine with me, Mrs. Khan you know I like your cooking and I love pasta.

Faadilah- Me too mom, you know I'm not fussy.

Rose Okay great. I'm going to start on that after I put these groceries away.

Faadilah Mom we can do that for you, we are just working on the dinner menu for the wedding, but we haven't started yet. Maybe you can help us with your input once we find some options.
