Moonlight Transformation

"Whoa..."

"Sofia? Sofia!?" Luke shook her shoulder and she returned back to reality. She took a deep breath and laid flat on her back.

"What do you see?" Serena asked. Sofia sat up hugged her knees. "I, I saw our father. Well, really my father. The one who raised us before he died." She said softly. Over the next 20 minutes, she explained everything in her memory.

"Whoa, so you aren't my sister, you are my cousin?" Luke asked confused.

Serena then  piped in. "I think I know what's going on. I think I remember this situation before. It was written in the history of the sea. Long ago, a merman fell desperately in love with a human and his sister did too. When they all wed and had children, but they had to keep it a secret.

Your father Sofia, was the brother of Clara.

Luke, your father, Darien, married the sister of Sofia's brother." She took a breath before continuing. "Sadly, the mer guards found out and killed Darien's sister.

So, Sofia's father saved her and when he found Clara dead, he took Luke in and raised you both." She smiled when she finished.

Both Luke and Sofia looked at each other and were surprised. "Wow, how did you know?" Luke asked. Serena shrugged. "I guess when I help people look at their memories, I can see them too."

Sofia looked awkwardly at Luke. "So, I'm a Sea-Dancer too?" She whispered. "It seems it is. But why is she now starting to turn into one?" He asked Serena.

"Let me explain," Serena started. " it starts when  Sea-Dancer is at the right age of transforming into a merman/mermaid. The age isn't always the same you see. Sofia is 14 and you are 17. Anyways, something will start to trigger in the mind and that's when a Sea-Dancer starts to transform." When she finished, she had to take a deep breath.

Sofia nodded and looked at both of their tails and smiled. "Whoa." Was all she said.
