Kidnapped

They both sat in the cove, for what seemed like eternity. Each had the same question in their minds, 'Did that kiss mean anything?'.

They both didn't think about it anymore. Instead, talked about things that happened to them when they were young.

Opal and Luke sat near the edge of cave, with both their leg's and tail's dangling over.

"Ugh! Nuh uh, that didn't happen." Opal laughed, she almost fell over. Luke grinned and brushed his hair back. "Yes it's true. You really did kiss Nicklaus Cage." He chuckled. Opal turned red and buried her face into her hands. "Oh gosh, I have no idea why I would do that." She muffled inside her arms.

She slowly opened her arms and starred at the waterfall. Opal finally had enough courage to ask him about the kiss.

"Luke," she mumbled at first. "a little while ago, did that kiss mean anything?"

Luke gazed at her and smiled. He rested his chin onto his palm and sighed. "Yes. I think it did."

Opal blushed and leaned her head on his shoulder and Luke slowly kissed her cheek.

"Opal, I do love you...." he whispered.

Opal kissed his cheek. "I lo-"

Without warning, she was cut off by Serena. She jumped on to the edge of cave and panted. She obviously was swimming fast.

"Luke! It's Sofia....guards....took....her..." she said tiredly. But when she saw Opal, she had the hugest grin in the world.

"Well, well, well, who do we have here."

Opal stood up and scooted away from her scared. Luke rolled his eyes at Serena. "Serena, this is Opal, my....." he stopped, being careful how he spoke. "Your, girlfriend." Serena finished for him.

Luke shook his head and then remembered she said something about Sofia.

"Where's Sofia? What happened?" Opal walked back over and sat next to him, trying to stay as far away from Serena as possible.

"The Merguards found her. They are going to kill her in the kingdom." Serena said scared. Opal had a horror all over her face. "What do we do?" She asked him. Luke looked at both girls. "We need to rescue her quickly. Come on." He ordered both girls.

Serena dived in while Opal wrapped her arms around his neck and they both went under.

"Now what do we do? Miss Long Legs here can't breath underwater." Serena teased. Opal held a huge fist at her. "Say tha-" but Serena cut her off and laughed. "I was just kidding." Opal lowered her fist and sighed.

"But, I think I something that'll help." She smiled. Around her waist, was a satchel. She dug her hand inside it and pulled out a green bottle. "Here." She handed it to Opal.

She examined it and had a funny look on her face. "What is it?" Luke asked looking at it too. Serena rolled her eyes. "Obviously, it's a potion to make any living creature breath and sea under water."

Opal uncorked the bottle and sniffed it. "Ew! It's smells like dead flowers." She cringed. "Suck it up. We font have much time. Are you coming or not?" Both Serena and Luke starred at her.

Opal nodded and slowly took a slip of the vial. Surprisingly, it didn't taste too bad when it went down her throat. She placed the cork back on the bottle and nodded.

"Let's go." She said. "Great, but the potion will only last 24 hours. So we must hurry. I don't have another one, but if the time comes I'll take drastic matters." Serena said and placed the bottle into her satchel.

Luke raised a brow in confusion. "What do you mean by that?" He asked but Serena ignored him.

"Are we ready?" Serena asked, diving in first. Luke nodded and held Opal's hand. She nodded and they both dived in.

( SOFIA'S POV)

Chains were around her wrists and tail. Each time she moved, the chains would get tighter and tighter.

It was no use. She'd over heard the guards talking about the excution. Tears streamed in eyes and silently cried herself to sleep.

"Shh, don't cry." A voice whispered and Sofia looked around and saw a figure by the cell. "I'll get you out of here." It whispered again, trying to open the cage.

Her heart raced with joy. Hoping it was either someone on her side or Luke. Either way, she acknowledged that other mer folk didn't believe loving a human was evil.

"Who's there!" A guard yelled and the figure dashed out of her sight. As the figure swam, she saw it was male.

Her heart dropped and laid her head back down..... "Please, someone save me.." she cried.....
