Inside the dungeon, it was cold. It was ice cold. But when he was at the heart of the dungeon, it began to warm up. He scanned each cell, trying to find the prisoners.

Eventually, he heard voices of sadness and joy. Following the voices, he became excited and scared all at once.

------------------------------------

"A tail? I have a tail!" Opal said excitedly. She rubbed her tail and felt the slim and scales stick to her hands. "Ew." She muttered. 'Gonna have to get used to this.' She reminded herself.

Sofia smiled and her eyes widen from the beauty of her tail. "It is beautiful. "

Luke didn't say anything after that. He just kept on starring at Serena. He remembered what she said before drowning.

"Moonlight." That word jumbled around in his head. Unfortunately, nothing came to his mind. "Moonlight..." he whispered softly.

Suddenly, they all heard a loud clank and saw a young merman trying to open the cell door.

At first, Luke thought it was one of the guards but then realized, he looked much younger. Like in his twenties. "Hello?" Luke asked, protectively holding Opal and Sofia.

The merman finally unlocked the cell. He slowly opened it, immediately, Sofia reconized him. "Jacob!" She smiled and escaped Luke's 'circle of protection.'

Jacob smiled. "Come on, I'll get you all to safety." He whispered leding them to a secret hole. Luke glanced back into the cell and cried again seeing Serena's body floating with no life.

------------------------------------

The hole was very small. Opal's tail would get caught in some rocks. Sofia's hair would  get into her mouth. While Luke had no problems.

Being a mermaid to Opal was new. She longer had feet and it felt odd that her toes were morphed into a giant fin.

She finally had the nerve to ask Jacob a question.

"Jacob, urh- I mean your majesty." She almost forgot he was a royal. While they were traveling halfway through the whole, he told them that he was a prince and on their side. What a relief it was for Sofia and Luke.

Jacob glanced at her and stopped. "Yes?" He asked. Opal stopped and twisted her hair nervously. "Well, you see, I'm not really a mermaid. My friend turned me into to one to save me from drowning...I'm a mermaid forever?" She asked now chewing on her hair. It was obvious to her that she wasn't a Sea-Dancer. So, what was she?

Jacob nodded his head. "I'm sorry. But what's done is done. Now, let's keep going." He ordered and swam on.

A lump swelled in her throat. She swallowed and tried not to cry. "Forever...." she muttered and closed her eyes.

A comforting hand touched her shoulder. She looked up and saw Luke. He nodded his head, as though telling her, that he knows and it'll be ok.

Opal looked down and hugged him tightly. He wrapped his arm around her waist and gave her lovingly kiss. She smiled kissed his cheek.

Ahead, they heard Jacob clear his throat, telling them to move it. They both sighed and swam towards Jacob.

------------------------------------

"We are here." Jacob said rising to the surface.

It was a long twenty minutes swim and Jacob led them to a little cove that wasn't familiar to either Opal, Luke, and Sofia.

Luke helped Opal to shore, while Jacob helped Sofia.

They all laid down for a mintue, until they all heard a joyful cheer of a girl.

Jacob immediately sprang up and yelled: "Rosella!" He yelled waving his arms.

In the distance, we could see a young human girl, running towards him.
