Memories

"So, how come your the only one?" Luke asked. Selena looked at the water and shrugged. "I got lost I guess." She replied and flopped her tail. Luke smiled and gently touched her tail with his fingers. Her tail smacked his hand and she couldn't hide her smile."Hey! That tickles." She let her smiled show. He laughed and looked down. "Well, I'm sure I'm lost too. I don't know remember anything...it's complicated." He sighed and then Selena touched his chin. "I have an ability to see to help others see the past. I can only do it on others though." She said in a whisper and Luke nodded. When Selena touched his temples, her fingers were cold and spoke a familiar language. Immediately, he began to see his past.

When he was seeing the past, it felt like he'd seen it before. The memories of his past sounded and looked like his dreams. Except, his memories were clear.

He saw a merman swimming in the ocean carrying Luke. He was scared and would look behind him each time. Then came the part when he heard the woman's voice. He could see her face clear. She was beautiful and has some of the features Luke has. "You brought him." She cried and smiled. "Clara, they are after me. Run. Run away and take Luke with you." The other voice said panicking . Clara, cringed. "Darien, I won't go far...they..they poisoned me." A million questions wanted to come out of his mouth but couldn't. The figure named Darien screamed in pain and Clara cried. "Run! Hide our son!" He yelled and everything went in fast motion.

Luke could feel the heartbeat of Clara and each time she ran, something inside her was killing her. She finally stopped running and hid in a ditch. Studied her gentle features and realized, Luke looked so much like this Clara person. "Luke, please be brave, the sea will call you to come home. Please, know we love you." Her breathing shorted and he saw her skin go pale. She then looked at the cloth and on the corner was stitched, "Luke". She uncovered the cloth revealing a baby. Luke then realized, the baby was him. Clara and Darien were his parents. Finally, Clara started to fade away and Luke returned to reality.
