Opal Knows

"Luke!" Opal cheered and walked inside. "Hey, I'm happy you're here." He said nervous and they both walked into the kitchen.

Sofia's eyes lit up when she saw Opal. "Hey, come here." Opal opened her arms waiting for a hug. Sofia jumper from her seat and gave Opal a warm hug. "I haven't seen you two in days. Glad we can get together." She patted Sofia's head and sat down next to chair Luke would sit and Sofia.

"Well, I'm happy you're here too. I made spaghetti." Luke said and Opal grinned. "I never knew you could cook." Sofia chuckled and winked. "I said that too."

Luke rolled his eyes and dipped the spoon in the sauce and evenly poured in the each bowls.

"Who's hungry?" Luke asked and passed out the bowls to each girl.

(Mysterious People POV )

"We've found them. When do we do it?" The first person asked. "Tonight, for now, we wait." They laughed and dissappeared in the water....

------------------------------------"Wow Luke, that was really good." Opal said finishing her meal. "Thank you, glad you enjoyed it." He stood up and collected the bowls.

"What should we do now? Go for a swim, I've heard Sofia is an excellent surfer now." She nudged at Sofia. Sofia looked at her nervous and shook her head. "No, how about if we watch a movie?" She suggested and walked to get the DVD player ready.

Opal shrugged and followed her.

But Luke stopped her and held her hand. "Opal. I need to tell you something." Opal gave him a curious face.

He took a deep breath before starting. "Me and Sofia-" but Sofia stopped him by throwing a pillow at him. "Stop! What are doing?" She hissed at him and crossed her arms.

Luke gave her the evil eye and looked back at Opal. She was very confused.

"Sofia, she should know." "Know what?" She asked and sat down. "Luke, please, don't." Sofia begged. "She deserves to know." He said firmly. "What is it? Just blurt it out!" Opal said irritated.

Sofia looked at her and sighed. "Go ahead." She told Luke and he sat down next to Opal.

"Ok, you mustn't tell anyone this." He whispered. "I'm a merman and Sofia is a mermaid." He said finally and lookedat Opal, waiting for her reaction.

At first, she gave them a funny look and then laughed. "Oh Luke, you are so funny." She chuckled.

"No, we really are." He said and looked around for water. "Oh really, why don't you two then transform." She joked.

Sofia walked to the sink and got a cup of water. "Here." She handed Luke the cup and sat next to Opal.

Luke gulped and closed his eyes. He placed his index finger in the cold water and he began to transform. He dropped the cup and Opal jumped when she saw his legs melt together. "Luke? Luke!" She panicked and tried helping him up.

Sofia accidentally touched the water with her foot and transformed too.

"Sofia!" She cried and looked away from the horror.

"Opal. It's ok." Luke said touching her shoulder. Opal opened her eyes and covered her mouth in shock.

Before her eyes, she saw Luke with a silver tail and Sofia with a dark blue tail. "You weren't kidding were you." Opal laughed.

Luke sat up and smirked. "Let me start from the beginning."
