Chapter 19. What do i do!

Paige's POV

Right when I woke up the next morning I changed. I put on some black skinny jeans and a dark teal tank top. I put on my black combat boots and a black bill hat. I put on a jean jacket and looked into my little mirror. My eyes were all read and puffy.

I never thought I would use make up again but today I did. I put some concealer under my eyes and a little bit of eye liner and mascara. I forgot how different I looked in make up.

I walked back out into the main area. Everyone was talking and having a good time. Quietly. I sat down and kept reading my book.

Someone sat by me and I looked up. Rick was there and I put my book down.

" What wrong with you and Carl?" He asked and I closed my eyes.

" At terminus, when you were gone, I tried to comfort him and he pushed me away. I don't know what happened." I said and he put his arm around me.

" He'll come around. I can tell he feels awful." I said and I looked at him.

" How can you tell?" I asked and he sighed.

" just the way when he looks at you. You can see it in his eyes." He said and I nodded. He got up and walked away and I sighed.

Honestly. I don't know what to do. I want to go over to him and talk to him but I don't know what to say. Well here it goes.

I stood up and walked over to Carl. He was sitting against the wall reading a comic book. I sat down by him and he didn't move.

" Hey." I said and he looked at me and put down his book.

" Hi." He said and I sighed.

" Look Carl, whatever I did I'm sorry." I said and he shook his head.

" No. I should be the one saying I'm sorry. I was a total jerk to you and you let me. I just thought I was going to loose everyone." He said and looked down. I put my hand on his and he looked up at me.

" Carl, Judith is alive. Your dads alive, I'm alive. Carl we're all still here. No ones going anywhere." I said and he nodded.

" Carl I love you." I said and he looked into my eyes.

" I will always love you." He said and smashed his lips to mine. I missed his soft lips. When we parted I smiled and laid my head on his shoulder. Glenn walked up to us and smiled.

" Well look at that. We're going to scope the area if you want to come with." He said and walked away. We got up and I grabbed my backpack and my katana and we walked out the door.

We walked about a mile into the woods and it was clear. No walkers are anything. I heard a stick snap and quickly turned around.

" Paige?!?"

I ran and gave Frankie and Sophia a hug.

" I missed you guys so much!" I said and let go. I frowned and looked around.

" Where's Sam?" I asked and they stayed silent.

" Where's Samantha!?" I said a little louder and Sophia started crying.

" She g-got bit at the prison when everyone left. I-I didn't know what to do." Sophia cried and I gave her a hug. I wanted to cry so so bad but I had to stay strong. I can't feel the pain that she's going through. Seeing her sister die right in front of her.

After a hour or so we decided to go back to the church. Right when we got there Sofia and Frankie went to sleep. It was kinda dark but they've been walking for a long time.

I laid down on my bench and Carl laid down behind me. It was a small bench so he wrapped his arms around me and I snuggled into his chest. Right when I closed my I fell asleep with a smile on my face.
