Chapter 10. Secrets.

Paige's POV

I woke up to whispering. I walked out I to the main area and saw Rick talking to Glenn. " Rick where is Carol, I haven't saw her in a while." Glenn said and Rick looked around. "She's gone." He said and I covered my mouth. "She's dead!?" Glenn asked and Rick shook his head. "No. She was the one who burned Karen and the other man. I took her on a run and made her leave. I couldn't have her hurting anyone else." Rick said. I had enough of him. I walked out so they could see me. " Carol would never hurt anyone!" I yelled and he looked at me." Paige your not in this!" Rick yelled back. " I'm as much as in this as Glenn! Carol was the only person I had to a mother in this world and you took her away from me!" By now I had tears streaming down my face. "SHE KILLED PEOPLE!" Rick yelled when Daryl came out with his cross bow in one hand. " SO HAVE YOU BUT WE NEVER SENT YOU AWAY! SHE COULD DIE OUT THERE CAUSE OF YOU!" I had enough. I ran out of the prison and ran to the gate. "Maggie, let me out." I said and she walked over to me. " I'm not letting you go by yourself." She said. " I'm going with her." I turned around and saw Daryl. Maggie opened the gate and me and Daryl walked out.

I was still wiping tears from my face. We walked into a town and there was dead walkers everywhere. Daryl stopped and opened his arms. I ran into them and cried. I heard a few sniffs come from him but that's all. "Daryl, I just left without even saying hi to Carl." I said. I haven't talked to Carl since last night. " Its alright kid. I told him we were going on a run." I nodded. I heard a car door shut and I let go of Daryl. What I saw made me smile. I ran into Carols arms and so did Daryl. " You have to come back." I said and she shook her head. " I can't honey, but I promise I will see you soon." I nodded and Daryl said it was time to go back. I waved at Carol and we started walking back.

When we walked up to the gate Maggie opened it and gave me a hug. I saw Carl and he dropped his bucket and ran to me. He wrapped his arms around me. " I'm sorry I left without telling you." I said and he put his hands on both of my cheeks. " It's ok just promise you wont ever do it again." He said and I nodded. He kissed me and we walked I side hand in hand.
