Chapter 20. Lizzy and Mika.

Paige's POV

Last night, Carol told us when everyone was split up it was her, Lizzy, Mika, Tyreese, and Judith. And Lizzy and Mika ran away after a herd came after them.

Well so I had to do a lot of arguing but I convinced Rick to send out a search group and we are going to find them. Their dad told me to take them in as my own, so that's what in going to do.

I changed into some skinny jeans, a grey shirt, a jean jacket, and a black beanie. I put on my combat boots and grabbed my satchel. I put my knife and gun in it. I out my emergency knife in my boot and my katana on my back.

I walked out and they were looking at a map of where Carol was when they ran away. ( in this story Lizzy and Mika didn't die just to clear things up)

I stood by Maggie and she smiled at me.

" Okay so where were you when they ran away?" I asked and they pointed to a spot not to far from here.

" Well that's good. So we can drive a car and park it in the woods and go on foot from there." I said and everyone nodded in agreement.

" Okay so.... Let's go!" I said and we all walked out. It was me, Carl, Rick, Maggie, Glenn, and Daryl in a van.

I was sitting in the back next to Carl and I couldn't stay still.

" Calm down. We'll find them." Carl laughed and put his hand on my thigh. I laid my head on his shoulder and he kissed my hair.

Soon we parked in the woods and I got my katana out. I stepped on a stick and the other part broke off and hit Daryl. I covered my mouth and he threw it at me.

" I'm so sorry!" I said and laughed my butt off.

" Ahh don't sweat it I've been hit with worse." He said and knocked my beanie off my head. I got it and hit him with it and put it back on.

" I swear you guys are related." Carol said and I smiled.

" Maybe not through blood." I said and looked up at him.

We kept walking until we came up to a field. It was beautiful. Like you would have no worries in the world. But the walked in front of up had to ruin it.

Carl killed it and we kept walking. I looked up at the sky and there was smoke. I smiled and ran in the direction it was coming from.

I came up to the edge of the woods and saw a fire that just got stomped out.

" We're that here?" I asked and that walked around.

" Yep" Carol said and held up a doll.

" Mika found this at the cabin." She said and I smiled.

I heard a scream and bolted into the woods. I ran and tripped on something. I looked over and a walker was laying there with a knife stuck in its head. I pulled it out and put it in my bag.

" They were here. Just now. How could they leave that fast!?" I screamed and tears were streaming down my face. Carl came up and wrapped me in his arms.

" We'll find them." He said and someone cleared their throat.

" Or they'll find us." I turned around and saw two blonde girls with tear and blood on their face.

" Oh my god!" I cried as they ran into my arms.

" Paige! We missed you so much" Lizzy cried into my jacket.

" Girls I missed you more!" I said and they gave the rest of the group hugs.

When we got in the car Mika sat on my lap and Lizzy sat on Carl's. When we got back we technically celebrated.

I sat down on my bench finishing 'Divergent' when Lizzy Mika came and sat by me.

" Hey girls what's up?" I asked and they giggled.

" Paige back at the prison when our dad died you said you would take us in as your own. Does that mean your like our mom now?" Lizzy asked and I smiled.

" And can we call you mom?" Mika said and I hugged them.

" Of course! Aww I love you girls." I said and they giggled.

" We love you too."
