Chapter 7. Smile.

Paige's POV

  I woke up and memories from last night flodded my mind. I smiled and sat up hitting my head on the top bunk. "OW!" " paige!!!! im trying to sleep." Frankie mumbled. I got up and she had her face stuffed into her pillow. I giggled and changed. After i changed i walked downstairs and saw Carol in the kitchen. " morning Carol." i said and sat on the counter. " Morning Paige, can you go get Judith out of Ricks room? i need to feed her. " i nodded and jumped down. When i got to his cell it was empty. I grabbed judith and took her to Carol. " Thanks sweety." she said and i smiled.

  I walked into my cell and saw Frankie. " hey." i said and sat down. " dont 'hey' he. tell me why your so happy." she said and i shrugged. " Cant a girl be happy?" i asked and she sat down. "yes but not this girl! Ever since the world went to crap i haven't saw you THIS happy. Now tell me why." she said and i sighed. " fineeeee. Me and Carl kissed last night." i said and she gasped. " do you like him?" she asked and i gave her a duh look. " oh... sorry" she said and i fell back on my bed. " Paige, go talk to him." she said pushing me a bit. I laughed and got up. " Your right." i said and walked out of the room.

  I walked to Carls cell and he was sitting on his bed looking at a picture. I sat by him and he looked at me and smiled. " hey." i said and he looked back at the picture. " hi" he sounded sad. " Carl, if you dont mind me asking... who is she?" he sniffed. " she's my mom. She died giving birth to Judith." he said as a tear slid down his face. I brought him into a hug. After a few minute he let go. he stood up and grabbed my hand and we walked out the prison door.

  It didnt take long before i knew where he was taking me. We walked up the gaurd tower dtairs and he walked up to the window. " i almost forgot the world could be this peaceful" i mumbled to myself. I looked up at the stars and sighed. " beautiful, isnt it." i said. "Yeah, it is beatiful." i looked over and he was staring at me. I can feel my cheeks warming up and i looked down. He lifted my chin up and i looked into his blue eyes. "Paige." i nodded my head and he sighed. " Will you be m-" i cut him off by placing my lips on his. He was shocked at first but than he relaxed. Our lips moving in sync. We pulled away to catch our breath. " so is that a yes?" he asked and i laughed. " Yeah." i pecked him on the lips in we headed back into the prison. This is the best day of my life in a crapy world.
