Chapter 16. Thought it was safe... On my birthday.

Paige's POV

Today's my birthday. And I'm 15. I woke up about an hour ago and no one had said anything yet. Right now we were getting ready to go to terminus.

" Well lookie here." Michonne said as she pulled something out of her duffle bag.

" I think it's for you." She handed it to me. It was a katana just like hers. With the silver sharp blade and the white handle. I was speechless.

" Happy birthday." She said. I jumped up and hugged her.

" Thank you so so much. I thought you guys forgot." I said and looked at them.

" How can we forget." Carl said and hugged me. I gave him a peck on the lips and went to hug Rick.

" Thank you." I said.

" Well how can I forget your birthday when your like a daughter to me. Well, daughter in law." I smiled.

We started walking and the first walker came out of the woods.

" Got it." I said. I grabbed my katana and sliced it through its head. I felt good. I turned around and they started clapping.

" She's a natural." Michonne said. I bowed.

" Why thank you." They laughed and we went back to walking.

We came up to a big building with fences around it. It had big letters at the top that spelled ' TERMINUS' my eyes widened and I hugged Carl.

" We made it." He whispered and I smiled. I gave him a long passionate kiss when someone cleared their throat.

" Let's go to the back, we don't want them to think the wrong thing. " Rick said and we nodded. I got my katana and followed Rick. We stopped for a few minutes and Rick dug a whole.

" Okay if you want to put something in here do it now. This is for if we need to escape we'll have some backup." He said and I put my katana in it.

When we were done he buried it and we climbed over the fence.

There was a back door. Rick slowly opened it and we all walked in. I got out my gun and kept it in front of me. We walked up to the middle of the room and we saw about two dozen people working.

" Well look we have some visitors."a man said and walked over to us. " How'd you get in here?" He asked and I looked at Rick.

" We ca,e threw the back cause we didn't know what you were like." He said and I looked back at the man.

" Good idea. well I'm Gareth. And welcome to terminus." he said.

" Can you please put down your weapons and we'll take you to the main area." Gareth said and I looked at Rick. He hesitated at first but then nodded. I put down my gun and knife and so did Carl.

Everyone looked back at what they were going and Gareth started walking. I looked at Rick and he nodded. I bent down and grabbed my gun and stuck it under my shirt. They did the same and we followed him.

We walked outside and there were people eating and having fun. I smiled up at Carl and he smiled back.

" Well this is it. Mary make them some food." He said to some woman and she nodded. Something caught my eye.

" Oh my god." I said and Carl looked at me. I pointed to some guy pants. It had Glenn's pocket watch hanging from it.

" That's Glenn's watch." I said and we all pointed our guns that them. Next thing I know there were shots in the air.

Someone grabbed me and Carl. We were all walked to a train car and they pushed us. I fell to the ground by t quickly got up.

" Okay when I call you, you go stand I. Front of the train car." Gareth yelled from the roof of the building.

" The leader, Samurai, the boy, and last the pretty girl." He said and i cringed. I walked up behind Carl and he grabbed my hand.

" Go inside" Rick opened the door and we walked in. Someone shut the door. I looked around and saw some familiar faces. They were all there. Everyone was here. A tear slid down my face and I smiled.

This has been a very interesting birthday.
