TASY's POV
He was playing on the stage, the way his hand moves everytime he would hit the drum, i felt the familiar feeling.
I was staring at him, just standing far away from him. Many people are looking at him, amazed. And I'm one of those people.
"Tasy...?" Agad akong nabalik sa reyalidad ng marinig ko ang boses na iyon, lumingon ako sa gilid ko at nakita si Mikayla at Janica.
Both of them looked much more matured now, and they look very contented and happy. My lips were shaking, before it turned into a smile.
"H-hi, kanina pa kayo?" Nauutal kong sabi at lumapit sa kanila. They looked at each other before shaking their heads, "No, kakadating lang namin." Ani ni Janica.
I nodded and sat on the chair. Nasa magkabilang gilid ko sila dahil sa gitnang upuan ako umupo.
"U-uhm...kamusta?" Tanong ko sa kanila. Mikayla pursed her lips before smiling, but that smile is forced.
"Ayos lang, ikaw?" Tanong nito pabalik. I smiled back at her and nodded, "I'm fine..."
Natahimik kaming tatlo, at hindi sinasadyang mapasulyap ako sa harapan, kung nasaan si Macsimo.
He was still playing drums, at hindi pa ata ako nito nakikita. Bumalik ang tingin ko sa dalawa dahil tumikhim si Janica,
"So, kakauwi mo lang?" Tanong nito sa casual na boses, tumango ako sa kaniya. "Oo, galing...America."
"Ah, that's where you went after disappearing 8 years ago..." Ani ni Mikayla. I looked at her at yumuko.
"Yeah..." Dumaan ang waiter at nilapag nito ang tatlong tubig. Janica thanked the waiter and I looked at them again.
"Why did you disappear?" Diretsahan tanong ni Janica. I licked my lower lips and glanced at Macsimo before looking at Janica.
"I...wanted to go there, for education." Sagot ko. Tumango at dalawa, at uminom ng tubig.
I can feel the tension in here,
"Si...Alexia at Kime?" Tanong ko, para mabawasan ang tension na nararamdaman ko ngayon.
"Kime's in London, while Alexia just went abroad for work." Ani ni Mikayla. Tumango ako sa kaniya,
"You're now an Architect?" Tanong ko kay Mikayla at ngumiti, she smiled and nodded, "Yeah, i am."
"Ikaw?" Tanong ni Janica, "Oh, I managed our company now" parehas silang tumango.
"Where's William and Ian?" Mikayla at Janica looked at each other before sighing. Mikayla was about to speak when a familiar scent entered my nose.
My heart thumped, and slowly, i looked up, and our eyes met. I swallowed hard when i finally saw his eyes, after 8 long years.
"Macsimo..." Ani ko sa mahinang boses. I stood up, and was about to go to him when suddenly, he held his head, and started shouting in pain.
"Ah, fuck!" He shouted, agad akong nagpanic at hinawakan siya sa braso.
"Macsimo!" Mikayla shouted, and before we she could even reached him, he fainted.
I WAS sitting on the bench when the doctor went out of the room. He sighed and went to us,
"He fainted due to the head ached caused by sudden burst of memories." The doctor said, which made me confused.
Nangunot ang noo ko, at tinignan sila Mikayla na seryosong nakikinig sa Doctor ngayon.
"Wag niyo siyang biglain. Let the memories that was forgotten go back on its own. Dahil kung mabigla siya, there's a chance that those memories...will be permanently deleted." Ani nito.
Mikayla and Janica sighed before nodding, nagpaalam na ang Doctor at sinabing pwede na namin siyang bisitahin sa loob.
"What..." Mahinang tanong ko, litong nakatingin sa pintuan ng kwarto ni Macsimo. I looked at Mikayla at Janica, they both sighed.
"We'll explain it to you, let's go to the garden." Yaya nito. Hindi na ako umalma at sumunod na sakanila patungo sa garden ng hospital.
When we reached the garden, umupo kami sa gazebo at hinintay ko silang mag salita.
"Mikayla, sabihin mo..." Janica whispered, Mikayla shooked her head and whispered back, "Ikaw na.."
I sighed, "Sabihin niyo na lang sa akin, please? Sobrang daming tanong na tumatakbo sa utak ko." Nagmamakaawa kong sabi.
Mikayla sighed before she started explaining what happened 8 years ago, when i left them, him.
CRYING, i was kneeling infront of Macsimo's bed, saying sorry to him. Natutulog pa rin siya ngayon, habang hawak ko ang kamay niya at paulit-ulit itong hinahalikan.
"I'm sorry, Macsimo..." Umiiyak kong sabi. Umupo ako sa kama niya at hinalikan siya sa noo.
I didn't know...
I didn't know, yet, i spent 8 years of my life, iniisip na sayang lang ang naging relasyon namin.
Pero hindi, mas sobra pa sa sayang.
"Tasy, uminom ka muna..." Janica held my shoulders, trying to console me. Isang oras na akong umiiyak pagkatapos nilang sabihin sa akin.
"I can't...I didn't know..." bulong kong sabi at mas lalong bumuhos ang luha.
"Tasy, wala na tayong magagawa. Let's just...wait, okay?" Mikayla said, and caressed my back.
Tumango ako at tinignan ang natutulog na Macsimo.
"I wasn't there..." Umiiyak kong sabi. Sobs keeps coming out of my mouth, "He suffered, and I wasn't there!"
"Shh, it's okay, it's okay..." Janica hugged me when I suddenly knelt down. Lalo akong nanghihina, tuwing nakikita ko siya sa higaan.
I wanted to wake him up, to tell him that I'm sorry, that his Anastasia is sorry.
"Tasy, umupo ka muna." Mikayla offered me a glass of drink, and I accepted it.
"Why didn't you call me?" Nanghihina kong sabi, nakatanaw pa rin sa natutulog na Macsimo.
"You changed your number, Tasy. We couldn't reach you. And..." they both stopped, kaya tumingin ako sa kanila.
"Macsimo's father told us to stop reaching for you dahil, wala naman na kayo." Anito.
My heart ached, and I couldn't help but to cry again.
"Kung alam ko lang, uuwi agad ako." Mahina kong sabi. Tumayo ako at umupo sa kama ni Macsimo.
Hindi ako lumingon ng marinig kong bumukas ang pinto,
"Tasy..." Because of that, I turned to the door and saw William and Vincente. Both of them looked at me with pity in their eyes.
I would look at me with pity, too.
